CVC Sunday Social / Recovery Ride -- Sunday, October - 7th - 9:00am Meeting at Citibank Parking Lot - Westlake Village -- Westlake Blvd. & Agoura Road (North East Corner) Route: Reyes Adobe / Lindero MUP Come out and join us for a local social paced ride (14 Mph Avg. Speed). Approximately 25-30 miles and then stay a while to socialize afterwards by having an after-ride beverage and snack. The plan for this Sunday is to head North on Reyes Adobe, cut through the school which puts us on Lindero Cyn., where we will find our way to the Multi Use Path that meanders through Oak Canyon Park. >From there we can take the not too traveled residential side streets to work our way South which puts us at Chumash Park all without having to ride on Kanan. Once there we can choose the return route and/or extension (I.e. Agoura with a Carlisle Canyon loop, Thousand Oaks Blvd to Forrest Cove Park pass though or a Malibou Lake loop). This route uses lightly traveled roads that avoid the traffic of the major streets. After ride socializing - Natural Cafe' Restaurant - Patio and/or front grassy courtyard area. Many options at this location for beverage and food establishments. See you there!! CVC Saturday Red Level Ride -- Saturday, October 6th, 8:30 AM (NEW TIME) Meeting at Citibank Parking Lot - Westlake Village -- Westlake Blvd. & Agoura Road (North East Corner) for announcements; promptly at 8:30 am, then split into our groups to depart. Route: Mulholland to the Coast Via Encinal and up Mulholland and Little Sycamore; For a detailed map and route slip, go to: http://ridewithgps.com/routes/947125 just add the Sycamore loop. Regroups: Water & Toilets: Mile De Anza Park Water: Calamegus Ranch Water & Toilets: Leo Carrillo make sure you have two full water bottles. Water at the first stinger on /Decker. Regroup Locations: De Anza, Top of Rockstore, Leo Carrillo The Red Ride is an advanced ride, 50+ miles in length. It is mandatory to have & wear a helmet. Following up on my previous announcement of this Sat.'s FOUR non-club charity rides, and advise of my participation in Simi's "Share the Road" ride..... Do any Red Riders have a suggestion of a route for a "local" -Westlake Red Ride? If so, please email me back your idea(s) and I will add the necessary details and announce the route. If not, you could do a ride to the Coast and decide upon a return route from there? (I know there are quite a few of you doing one the four previously mentioned rides however.) Tuesday Evening Beg/Int MTB ride, Dos Vientos, 6:00pm start

CVC Tuesday evening Beginner/Intermediate MTB ride. *This ride is a mix of fire roads and technical single track ridden at a slower pace than the advanced ride.* Meet at Wendy and Potrero. Start time is 6:00pm. Route to be determined. The goal is to ride from 1.5 - 2 hrs and travel about 8 - 12 miles. You don't have to have a mountain bike if you're new to the sport. A bike with wide tires and a little front suspension will do to get started. *Lights are now required. We recommend lights with at least 750 lumens. Two lights are ideal - one for your handlebar and one for your helmet. You're able to see surprisingly well with this set up. CVC encourages you to support our cycling community by shopping at local bike stores.* Afterwards we can go for some food and refreshments. CVC Tuesday PM MTB 10-3-12 6pm

Hey CVC Mountain Bike Riders, This Tuesday the Intermediate/Advanced Mountain Bike Ride will be at Dos Vientos. We will meet at the trailhead at Portrero and Wendy. Be ready to ride at 6pm <x-apple-data-detectors://0>. Routes to be determined. Most of our rides are approximately 8-15 miles and last around 1.5-2 hours. This is an intermediate/advanced paced ride and not a no-drop ride. but, lets stay together within our groups, and have a fun safe time. We are now needing full lights to finish the rides.
