WEEKLY ANNOUNCEMENT
Hey CVC,
The weather is forecast to be much cooler this weekend, with Saturday and Sunday in the high 70s and low 80s.
On Saturday, we have four rides scheduled, including another Newcomer class and ride. The Red Group will be going up Mulholland and Piuma, then down La Tuna and back Old Topanga. The Orange Group is doing Piuma with a return down Fernwood and back Old Topanga, as well. The Gold Ride is headed for Calabasas with a loop over Mulholland and 7-minute Hill. And our Newcomers purple class will head for Chesboro and Fountanwood after reviewing some group riding information.
Sunday the Red group is heading to the beach down Potrero, with a return up Deer Creek, Yerba and down Westlake. The GO ride is going to do the ride that was too blazing hot to do last week - up Cornell to upper Encinal and the Rock Store, with an additional Carlisle Canyon extension. The Social ride is going for a nice spin up Carlisle Canyon and out HIdden Valley to Treasure HIll and the Horse Stables.
We've also got midweek rides Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, including the Rock Store race ride Tuesday night, cruise rides Tuesday and Thursday mornings, and a Wednesday afternoon ride with Sherie.
Road debris remains a big problem. Please warn riders behind you of everything in the bike lanes! You are their eyes when you are on the front. Come join us with friends and family on the Newcomers Ride. Lots of great info from bike checks, to riding strategies, to group dynamics. Contact me for the ride outline and help us refine the information to be covered on the ride.
Let me know if I can help with anything bike or ride-related. I always have extra gear, supplies and my toolbox, pump, etc.
And let's ride!

Hi CVC Members!
I will be continuing the Wednesday ride, but moving it to the afternoon
until late next spring.
The rides will be leaving from the landing and/or any other place we decide
at 3:45 until the time changes, and then we move to 3:30 with some shorter,
but very doable rides if you want to get out there!
I will not be starting this for 2 more weeks however, due to work
obligations. (I will email see if anyone wants to join me next Thursday)
But until then, stay tuned for the first week of October!
And on a side note, I still have a lot of pre-ordered clothing that needs
to be picked up. Also, I have "some" extra clothing for sale. I have NO
men's extra large, but I have most other sizes.
Just drop me an email,
Sheri
The Tuesday evening 5:30 pm Rock Store ride continues on Tuesday September
20th at 5:30 pm PDT sharp. The ride leaves from the Landings parking lot.
Sunset is 6:55 pm. Still time to do the full route with Upper Encinal in
the day light. The sun will set going around the lake.

Hi all,
As our sunlight is winding down, we are nearing the end of our daylight riding time. This week and next week will likely be our last regular daylight rides and we will go on hiatus for the winter. There will be plenty of opportunities for night rides that I will be announcing so keep your eyes open for those(and get those lights ready).
This week we are going to ride Dos Vientos. We will meet at the parking lot at Potrero and Wendy. We will ride at 5:30pm. Make sure to bring your water and helmet.
