SUMMER PUB RIDES

Hey All Interested CVC RIders, You have been asking, and we are ready! Summer is here and Pub Rides are ready to start! ALL we need is YOU! If you have not been on a Pub ride, well, we have some fun in store for you ahead! WOOHOO! We typically leave from any number of eating establishments, and sometimes from people's homes. This is the format for the summer pub rides. FUN! That's all you need to think about.. No stress, just weekly fun. Our lovely Denise and Greg J. will be managing the details, but.... there is *NO* designated ride leader. *YOU* are all the leaders.... What do you mean?.... well, the pub rides will not take place without volunteer leaders. And ANYONE can lead/organize these. It is so nice to have Greg help you make a route, or Denise get it out there for you. Both can help lead... BUT.... PLEASE consider this your time to volunteer! Please select a week that you can commit to on the calendar link below. It is YOUR CHOICE.... You are probably wondering, WHAT DO I HAVE TO DO? Easy... 1. Sign up-click the link below. 2. Select a Start Location and an "idea" for a route of about 20-25 miles... (No need to decide today) Greg will help you make a route from your start location if you need help. 3. Either reserve some outside tables, or.... your home, ...or select a place where we can try and put some tables together. It can even be a park. 4. Ideas: could be.....let's say your home..... host post pub ride and pre-order something like pizza or BBQ, and ask everyone for a donation of $10 or whatever it is..Maybe everyone brings their own drink of choice to share.... A Pub start... past popular places, LadyFace, Stonehouse, ..Pedals and Pints... We have had other creative ideas in the past that have all turned out awesome. It's all about burning off to enjoy festivities and fun after. In the past we could reserve a table for 20-25, but a phone call requesting perhaps different tables may be what we need to let an establishment know we are coming with approximately how many guests. 5. I would suggest to ask for an RSVP from riders to get an idea, especially when pre-ordering or reserving. Be creative, fun and let's all pitch in to make this a fabulous summer of pub riding fun. Tomorrow CVC and MTB ride

Hey CVC MTB’rs, you don’t want to miss tomorrow’s ride. It’s going to be a beautiful evening, and you’re going to get to cruise our easiest route. We’re doing an out and back to the MASH site. There is a new bridge over the creek so it makes things really nice. And of course, when we get back we will crack some beverages (so bring some ) and laugh at our antics. Those of you that have not been out in a while need to dust off your bikes and get over there. We ride from from Juan Batista Park on lost Hills Road at 5:30 PM. It's going to be a little toasty.... school is out, and traffic will be better at this time now. Let's meet for a nice ride and go have some fun! Probably the direction of Newbury Park will be best??? But then again, am open to suggestions. See anyone who wants to go on the "Unofficial Ride" Thursday at 8:30! Bring lots of water! Rides are about 25-35.... Intermediate with yours truly sweeping away. -- Sheri
