CVC RIDE PREVIEW

Merry Christmas Everyone!
Who wants to sweep?......
.....Since we have committed to riding in a group, and we all are watching out for each other, let's share in the sweeping duties. It's only until the next re-group spot. Plus, it gives a chance to relax, smell the roses a bit, and ensures that everyone gets back safely.

CVC Santa Barbara Away Ride Revision
HI all,
Because of the last storm, there is a lot of water, debris, and mud runoff in the hills. In lieu of that, the previously posted route for the away ride is cancelled and an alternate route is being ridden.
It starts in Summerland at Lookout Park where there is parking and restrooms. It's a 48 mile route with less than 1600 feet of climbing.
Route link: http://ridewithgps.com/routes/5748936
We roll at 9am. At the ride end, there are several great places to eat and enjoy the view.
Hope you can make it.
Local Rides
The local rides from Westlake are still being ridden. However, please be careful of road conditions. It may be sunny out, but there will be plenty of debris and wet areas.
Thanks!

Get it while you can, who knows what weather the weekend will bring!

Hero dirt all around.....Come out and ride.
The ride schedule for this week is as follows, per Ben Griffes with CMB:
**
Tuesday we're riding in Chesebro. Meet in the front parking lot at 6:00 pm
Thursday the forecast is for PM showers, so depending on when the rain
starts and it not too wet, let's ride Switchbacks/Space mountain, since the
trail can sustain a light drizzle. Meet at the end of Moorpark Rd a 6:00 pm
**
Most of the rides are approximately 8-15 miles and last around 1.5-2 hours.
Our rides are done jointly with the Conejo Mountain Bike club (CMB). It is
an intermediate paced ride and not a no-drop ride. but, lets stay together
within our groups, and have a fun safe time.
Always make sure you have your approved helmet (mandatory),water, spares,
and a light, now that it is getting dark.
See you soon on the road or trail!
