Subject: Tuesday Rockstore Ride
Hi Gold Riders,
We will start this Tuesday evening gold ride to the Rock Store from
Citibank location to Malibou Lake - Rock Store - Mulholland Hwy -
Decker Canyon - around Westlake Lake. 25 + miles with 2,100' of
climbing. Starting at 5:15pm
Same route as the Tuesday Red Ride (without upper Encinal Canyon).
Re-group at:
Cornell / Mulholland and top of Rock Store.
With the sun setting early lights make it much easier to see and be seen.

Ride east on Agoua Rd. to Malibou Lake - Mulholland East to King Gillette Ranch:
1st re-group : King Gillette Ranch ( on Mulholland Hwy after Las Virgenes)
2nd re-group : Guard shack at top of 7 Minute Hill on Mulholland Hwy
3rd re-group : Fernwood Market in village at bottom of Fernwood Pacific
4th re-group : Top of Stunt overlook
5th re-group : At Malibou Lake/Cornell Rd
decide from there who wants to ride back to Westlake via:
Cornell Rd. or....Rock Store climb to Westlake Blvd.
(adding on Upper Encinal if you want a couple more miles & climbing feet)

Road (North East Corner) for announcements; promptly at 9:00 AM, then split into
our groups to depart.
Route: Simi Valley, Box Canyon, Valley Circle to Calabasas to Agoura.
Regroups:
Rolling re-group at Westlake and Arboles.
Re-group at Wood Ranch and Long Canyon.
Re-Group at the Carl's Junior on Los Angeles for restrooms and water
Re-Group at McDonald's on Agoura for restrooms and water.

Wednesday afternoon Landing Ride! This ride meets at 3:45 at the Landing Parking
lot at end of Lindero (same place as shops). we will be at end closest to the
street. We try to ride as far as we can, but it's usually about 25 miles due to
daylight.

In the interest of safety, whenever it is either actively raining or
the ride route is wet it is our club’s policy to cancel scheduled club ride.
Should club members choose to meet and ride in inclement conditions the ride
will not be considered an official club ride.

Saturday, January 12th 2013, Conejo Valley Cyclists Annual Memorial Ride:
We gather together to remember and commemorate our friends & members who are now
in a more peaceful place.
We'll all ride together as a group to Peter Straus Ranch on Mulholland for a
group picture & brief remembrance. Please wear your club kit for the group
picture which we'll post to our new club website.
Then we'll ride West on Mulholland up the Rock Store and re-group again at the
top to split up into club ride options:
1) Gold Ride : Continue on Mulholland Hwy to Decker/Westlake descent
2) Orange Ride: Mulholland to Upper Encinal to Lechusa to Decker/Westlake
descent
3) Red Ride: Up Latigo Canyon down to PCH and back up Latigo Canyon - return to
Westlake
Conejo Valley Cyclists Classic Bicycle Ride, January 20th, 2013
Join us on Sunday January 20th, 2013 for a ride with your classic lightweight
road/race bicycle. Many have, collect, and enjoy the “old” bikes and there are
not too many opportunities for group rides dedicated to them so we at CVC have
created our own quarterly Classic Bicycle Ride. We plan on a relaxed pace ride
through Hidden Valley, past the estates of the rich and famous, and back of 20
miles. After the ride we invite you to bring a stand and display your classic
and socialize with other bicycle enthusiasts at the Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf and
the Natural Café.
If you do not have a classic but you’d like to ride with us you are welcome to
participate.

Cruisin' the Conejo, Sponsored by you the Members of Conejo Valley Cyclists,
will be held on Saturday, May 11, 2013. This year there will be new routes for
all to enjoy. The century will ride to the coast for the first time and the
challenging metric will traverse the scenic mountains and the coast. Start

Up in the rotation this week is the popular Northern and North Western Thousand Oaks / Lynn Ranch ride.
For those that have not ridden this route before we climb North up Westlake to Arboles. A quick hop over to Pederson and around to Big Sky / Wildwood Park. We then cut through the residential area of Thousand Oaks to avoid Lynn Road where we end up in Lynn Ranch.
A couple return options exist with a final cut through at what I call Pentagon Park back to Village Glen Plaza.
