CVC RIDE PREVIEW October 31-November 5 -THE WEEKLY RIDES- Please read. This has been witnessed often recently on the club rides and poses a dangerous situation. When in single file formation and you want to move up, do not make your pass on a blind bend. There may be cars coming in the opposite direction who may be making room for cyclist(s) on the other side of the road. Wait to make your move until you have full view of the road ahead. We will have a short ride before the event ride so that we can roll over to the start as a unified club while flying our colors. You can walk, bike, run, skate to participate, plus we will have hubs of entertainment, food and activities for all ages. All rides not asterisked are considered a "drop ride" so please understand the route before you start (and how to get back). If you get to a regrouping spot and no one is there, consider yourself dropped. As always we will try to stick together and have a fun, safe ride. We will regroup regularly to allow everyone a chance to ride together. If for any reason you leave a group ride, please pass along the information to the ride leader. It is mandatory to have & wear a helmet. Hello Weekday riders! There will be a ride this Wednesday afternoon open to anyone who just wants to get out there. We will meet at 3:45 to roll to Las Virgenes, via Cornell. This is an intermediate level ride of about 21 miles. Please come join us! Join at the Landing Parking lot by the entrance. See you there! Leaving from the Landing, the Tuesday-Thursday ride is a 25 to 40 mile intermediate level ride (between gold and gold rush). There are very few cars out at this time and the weather is nice and cool. Come and join us. No rider gets left behind. The faster paced Rock Store ride concludes for the year on Tuesday October 27th at *5:00* pm PDT sharp. Note that we are leaving at 5:00 pm instead of 5:30 pm. The ride leaves from the Landings parking lot. This is the last ride of the season. Sunset is at 6:07 pm tomorrow. Lights are needed for either Mulholland short return or Upper Encinal return. It's almost HUMP DAY! THE mid-week day to spin your legs on a group ride and get over the hump. This is an intermediate level ride of about 22 miles. We meet at The Landing Parking lot, by the entrance, ready to ride at 3:45. Let's go for a Thousand Oaks loop this week. Any questions, please ask! Just come on out and join!
