Hey CVC MTB’rs
Couple of fun things going on. If you’re interested, I am going to Sapwi bike park on most Mondays around 4:30pm in the afternoon if you would like to join. Not a CVC ride, but just for fun. Great way to build those MTB skills. Text me and let me know if you’re going to be coming.
We will also be riding this Thursday. As a sneak preview, we will ride out of the North end of Las Virgenes Road and do the Ahmanson Ranch Loop.
Look for all the information on this Thursdays ride in the weekly announcement.
Hope to see you all out there!!

Hey All Interested CVC RIders,
Now that an incredible Ride of Silence is in the books, it is time to think
about warmer summer nights.
You have been asking, and we are ready! Summer is coming up and Pub Rides
are ready to start! ALL we need is YOU!
This is the format for the summer pub rides.
FUN! That's all you need to think about.. No stress, just weekly fun.
There is *NO* designated ride leader. *YOU* are all the leaders....
Please select a week that you can commit to. It is YOUR CHOICE.... You are
probably wondering, WHAT DO I HAVE TO DO?
Easy...
1. Sign up-click the link below.
2. Select a Start Location and an "idea" for a route of about 20-25
miles... (No need to decide today) Richard or Kent will help you make a
route from your start location if you need help.
3. Either reserve some outside tables, or.... your home, ...or select a
place where we can try and put some tables together. It can even be a park.
4. Ideas: could be.....let's say your home..... host post pub ride and
pre-order something like pizza or BBQ, and ask everyone for a donation of
$10 or whatever it is..Maybe everyone brings their own drink of choice to
share.... potluck
A Pub start... past popular places, LadyFace, Stonehouse, Twisted
Oak....Pedals and Pints...
We have had other creative ideas in the past that have all turned out
awesome. It's all about burning off to enjoy festivities and fun after.
I do not think in this time we could reserve a table for 25 as we have done
in the past, but a phone call requesting perhaps different tables may be
what we need to let an establishment know we are coming with approximately
how many guests.
5. I would suggest to ask for an RSVP from riders to get an idea,
especially when pre-ordering or reserving.
Be creative, fun and let's all pitch in to make this a fabulous summer of
pub riding fun. All rides will be on Wednesday this year.

Hello CVC
Thank you for helping make our rides safeand fun.
Here are the ridesfor this week.
Bicycle Safety
Americans areincreasingly bicycling to commute, for exercise, or just for fun. By law, bicycles on the roadway are vehicles with the same rights and responsibilitiesas motorized vehicles. NHTSA’s bicycle safety initiatives focus on encouragingsafer choices on the part of bicyclists and drivers to help reduce deaths andinjuries on our roads.
Helmets
FITTING A HELMET
Every bike ridebegins with putting on a helmet. But it’s equally important that you ensure aproper fit so your helmet can best protect you.
Size can vary betweenmanufacturers. Follow the steps to fit a helmet properly. It may take time toensure a proper helmet fit, but your life is worth it. It’s usually easier tolook in the mirror or have someone else adjust the straps. For the most comprehensivelist of helmet sizes according to manufacturers, go the Bicycle Helmet SafetyInstitute (BHSI) website.
