Hi All,
Well the Labor Day weekend is almost upon us....at which time all of our
white kits will have to go into the closet for the winter.
But don't despair...we will still ride the "Pubs" as long as we can.
This week we will do Cronies in NP. We ride at 5:30PM and will return for
some well earned (sort of) libations.

Remember, this is a social paced ride and we stay together and have fun!
See you then,
Kent.

WEEKLY ANNOUNCEMENT
Hey CVC,
We are headed into an End-of-August heat wave this weekend. That means extra water, electrolytes and maybe salt tabs, ice wraps or anything else it takes. Be wary of the signs of heat stroke (dizziness, chills, disorientation) and moderate your efforts.
On Saturday we have four rides. The Red Ride is heading toward the Rock Store, then descending Latigo before heading north on PCH and back home up Mulholland. The Orange Ride is going to do a Simi loop by heading to Calabasas, then across Valley Circle, over Santa Suzanna and back through Thousand Oaks. The Gold Ride is rolling out through Hidden Valley, then up to Dos Vientos Park and back on Borchard and up around Wildwood Park. The Purple Ride will be heading directly for Wildwood Park through Thousand Oaks, then complete the loop over Pederson and Erbes.
On Sunday we've also got two fun ride options. The G.O.R. ride will follow a nice loop from Chesboro, up over Kanan and Westlake, then through Wildwood Park before heading up Lynn to Dos Vientos and Hidden Valley (we will have some repeat options for the fast ponies). The social ride is winding up through Agoura via Valley Spring to Westlake, and will come home down Kanan the opposite direction, before winding over Fountainwood and Lakeview.
We've also got midweek rides on Tuesday and Thursday morning and evenings, including the our famous Rock Store Race Ride (with moderate-paced options), our wildly fun Thursday night Pub Ride and destination rides Tuesday and Thursday mornings.
When riding with your groups, please be very verbal and watch for debris in the bike lanes. Always warn riders behind you of everything approaching! You are their eyes when you are on the front. When calling out, be loud, especially around vehicles.
Our Purple and Newcomer rides are getting a good turn-out. Please help spread the word and bring friends! Our Newcomers' Class and Rides are scheduled for the first Saturday of every month, and we will be adding regular purple rides in a couple weeks. We can also put together a Purple ride anytime. Contact me or Sheri. Come join us and bring family and friends.
Let me know if I can help with anything bike or ride-related. I always have extra gear, nutrition, supplies and my toolbox, pump, etc.
And let's ride!
