Inclement weather policy: In the interest of safety, whenever it is either
actively raining or the ride route has wet roads, it is our club policy to
cancel a club ride. Club members may still choose to meet and ride in these
conditions; however, the ride will not be considered an official club ride.
After the ride, please join us at one of the many refueling options
available at the finish such as Natural Cafe, Sea Casa, East Coast Bagel,
Sprouts Market, etc..
Please remember to park in the area along Westlake Bl.(between the street
and the first driveway aisle) and not in the area in front of the
Shops/Market. If we don't respect the requests of the lease tenants, we
could be asked to park elsewhere.

Hi All,
This week lets ride the Portrero/Santa Rosa Rd route. A nice New Years Eve
jaunt.

As usual, we will meet at the Citibank parking lot and have our pre-ride
announcements promptly at 8:30AM prior to splitting into our groups and
departing.
The Orange ride is an intermediate/advanced recreational ride 40 to 50
miles in length with an average pace of 15+mph. It is not a "no drop ride"
but as always let's try to stick together and have a fun,safe ride.

Westlake Village- Piuma Rd.- across Saddle Peak-down Fernwood-Up Old Topanga Canyon
then Calabassas return to Westlake
This ride affords us to the opportunity to climb Piuma & ride in the reverse direction of
our usual Fernwood climb and then we'll return via' Old Topanga Canyon and
Calabassas-Mureau Rd.-Agoura-Westlake
8:30am start: Westlake Village
First re-group: Juan Bautista de Anza Park
Second re-group: top of Piuma - ocean overlook
FYI: Piuma is 2X Rock Store in distance & climbing feet - (see if you can ride it in less than 30 min's )
Third re-group: top of Stunt Rd.
- then proceed East up Saddle Peak across Tuna Canyon
down Fernwood Pacific to the Market at Fernwood/Topanga
Fourth re-group : Fernwood Market
then back up Old Topanga Canyon
descend Old Topanga to Mulholland Hwy and back to Westlake through Calabassas

Here's our pre-HAPPY NEW YEAR ride! This
week's Saturday Purple Ride takes us on the Malibou Lake Loop. It is
19.2 miles, with around 1200ft of climbing - all rollers or not much
worse! Remember - you can loop Westlake at the end for an extra 5 miles of flat
rolling! Afterward, join the other members at the Natural Cafe for
lunch!

purple ride is a beginner club ride with a 12-13 mph average pace but

I had to miss the coast ride today, but it sounded like it was great.
In addition to that great ride, another offering will be on WEDNESDAY
MORNING, (sorry, can't top the coast route)
Let's plan on leaving Citbank/Sprouts parking lot at 9:00 am WEDNESDAY
morning and riding towards 7 min. Hill and back through Calabasas.

Hey MTB'rs,
This week we're riding the Los Robles trail east to Triunfo, via the
Whitehorse trail. Meet at the end of Moorpark Rd. at 6:00 pm
Most of our rides are approximately 10 miles and last around 2 hours.
The Tuesday MTB night ride is a moderate paced ride. lets stay together and
have a fun safe time.
Be sure to have a light capable of lighting a dark trail and lasting at
least 2.5 hours and bring a spare tube & pump at a minimum.

CVC members are invited to attend our CVC Board of Directors meeting
Wednesday, December 28th. This meeting is open to all active CVC members,
however this is not a members meeting; this is a club business meeting.
This will be my last Board of Directors meeting as President of your club.
2012 has a lot of exciting new things in store with some new faces stepping
up to help lead.

Holiday Ride -- Monday Dec 26th, 9:00 AM start.

Route: Potrero to Hueneme Left to Las Posas Left, to PCH South to Encinal back
to the start.. Weather forecast is for 70 Deg. and mild breeze, at the start the
temperature will be in the mid to high 50 Deg.
Hi Everyone,On Monday December 26th. starting at 9:00AM we are riding through
treasure hill down Potrero, stopping at Chanel Island University to re-group
then riding to PCH and stopping at the Sycamore Beach for restrooms and water.
The ride continues on PCH returning on Encinal. Note: Their will be several
re-groups on Encinal Canyon, water and refreshments will be available. Please
wear your CVC Kits as group pictures will be taken on this ride.
High winds and or rain will cancel this ride. Current weather forecast is for
70 Degrees and no winds, on Monday 12/26/11.
