CVC Sunday Social / Recovery Ride -- Sunday February 12th - 9:00am Meeting at Citibank Parking Lot - Westlake Village -- Westlake Blvd. & Agoura Road (North East Corner) Come out and join us for a social paced recovery ride (14 Mph Avg. Speed). 25-30 miles max. and then stay a while to socialize afterwards by having an after-ride beverage and snack. This week we will warm up by going around the lake and then towards Conejo School Road/La Granada pass through to Erbes. North down the hill on Erbes to Arboles where we will go up and around our Lang Ranch loop. >From there a slight climb up Westlake to Valley Spring where we will wind our way up and around County Club Drive back out to Kanan. Kanan to Fountainwood which we will use to connect back into Thousand Oaks Blvd. An optional Forest Cove - Reyes Adobe to Lake Lindero scenic ride and then back to socialize. After ride socializing - Natural Cafe' Restaurant - Patio and/or front grassy courtyard area. Many options at this location for beverage and food establishments.

Is everyone enjoying this amazing sunshine? Let's get out there and ride... We will head out to De Anza Park via Agoura Road for our first meet up with water and bathrooms. We will then head down Las Virgenes** turning right on Mulholland and heading up to Cornell. Once we head back towards Westlake on Agoura, we will bust out a hard core lake loop for a strong finish!! **Please remember that when riding on Las Virgenes as a group, we are single file always!!! Safety is paramount!! We will meet at Citibank (corner of Agoura Hills and Westlake), rolling out at 9:00 AM. Hi CVC Red Riders: This Sat. is our traditional Away Ride Sat. but do to quite a few members riding the Tour dePalm Springs and also not having a couple local ride leaders available, I decided to announce a local Red Ride instead. Our Coast route ride is next in the Red Ride rotation. Saturday, February 11th, 8:30am Westlake Village Citibank/Sprouts Parking lot: NE corner of Westlake Blvd. & Agoura/Hampshire Rd.'s Westlake-Hidden Valley-Portero Canyon-Coast Route & return ? The weather forecast seems to be cooperating and tempting me to ride my annual Deer Creek extravanganza So at the second Sycamore Beach re-group spot let's see how ambitious I/we feel to tackle that challenging ride. Here's the route: Loop around Westlake Lake ( from the East side) L on Westlake Blvd R Portero Rd. R Reino Rd. L Lynn/Portrero Continue through Dos Vientos & Portero Canyon 1st Re-group: CSCI College driveway L Hueneme Rd. CVC Saturday Gold Level Ride -- Saturday Feb 11th 8:30 AM Meeting at Citibank Parking Lot - Westlake Village -- Westlake Blvd. & Agoura Road (North East Corner) Route: Rock Store, Mulholland and Sherwood.Weather forecast is for 75 Deg. and Breezy, at the start the temperature shoul be in the low to mid 50 Deg. Hi Everyone,On Saturday February 11th. starting at 8:30 AM we are riding through Juan Beautista to Mulholland West, through Rock Store, Mulholland to Westlake and a possible hidden valley loop. The re-group locations are Juan Beautista, top of Rock store climb. Due to injury I will need someone to step in and lead the ride, possible for two weeks. Please let me know who will step up. Please use the restroom before departing or at Juan Beautista Park. Next possible restrooms and water at Peter Staruss and Calamigos Ranch for water. Next re-group at Fire Station 33 restroom and water. As usual, we will meet at the Citibank parking lot and have our pre-ride announcements promptly at 8:30AM then splitting into our groups and departing. The Gold Ride is an intermediate recreational ride 30 to 40 miles in length with an average pace of 14+mph.It is mandatory to have and ware a helmet and it is the rider's responsibility to ensure that the helmet is valid (check expiration on helmet inner tag, usually good for five years) and in good working condition. It is not a "no drop ride" but as always let's try to stick together and have a fun,safe ride. Things to have: Water to complete the ride or at least to reach the next water stop. Tools to perform minor repairs. Chain repair linkage. Inner-tube and inflated device. Cellular phone. Food to replenish energy. Inclement weather policy: In the interest of safety, whenever it is either actively raining or the ride route has wet roads, it is our club policy to cancel a club ride. Club members may still choose to meet and ridein these conditions; however, the ride will not be considered an official club ride. After the ride, please join us at one of the many refueling options available at the finish such as Natural Cafe, Sea Casa, East CoastBagel, Sprouts Market, etc.. Please remember to park in the area along Westlake Bl.(between the street and the first driveway aisle) and not in the area in front of the Shops/Market. CVC Saturday Purple Ride Feb 11th - 8:30am Hidden Valley Meeting at Citibank Parking Lot - Westlake Village -- Westlake Blvd. & Agoura Road (North East Corner) Route: Hidden Valley, (out and back) Hi Purple Riders, I will be gone this Saturday to the Palm Springs Bike Ride! We have some NEW riders who are NEW to the route, so stick together and have fun! This Saturday, we will ride out to Hidden Valley (out and back). Hi All, This week the Orange ride will make it's way to the coast and back via Mulholland. I will not be riding with you this weekend, so would someone please oversee the group?? Inclement weather policy: In the interest of safety, whenever it is either actively raining or the ride route has wet roads, it is our club policy to cancel a club ride. Club members may still choose to meet and ride in these conditions; however, the ride will not be considered an official club ride. After the ride, please join us at one of the many refueling options available at the finish such as Natural Cafe, Sea Casa, East Coast Bagel, Sprouts Market, etc.. Wed. Afternoon Landing Ride

Our group is small, but oh do we have fun on our short spurt! Sunshine predicted! Would love to see some new faces again! Join us Wednesday afternoon about 3:30, rolling 3:35... from the Landing shopping center lot towards the end of Lindero... Let's go putt through Hidden Valley for another week or two until we get a little more time. Meeting at The Landing at the end of Lindero in the parking lot. If you haven't joined us, this is your perfect day to try! Anyone is welcome to come along for a mid-week spin. This is an intermediate recreational ride right now around 20 miles in length with an average pace of 14+mph. It is not a "no drop ride" but let's try to stick together and have a fun,safe time. CVC Tuesday Night MTB Ride 2-7-12 6pm

Hey MTB'rs, This Tuesday we are showing a chance of rain, so we will ride as long as the ground doesn't become too saturated. With rain in the forecast, lets plan on Space Mountain. If it is raining of relatively wet out side we will cancel. we will meet at 6pm at the south end of Moorpark Rd. Most of our rides are approximately 10 miles and last under 2 hours. The Tuesday MTB night ride is a intermediate paced ride. lets stay together and have a fun safe time.
