Hi everyone, There is a chance of rain today. Please remember our weather policy. /Inclement weather policy: In the interest of safety, whenever it is either actively raining or the ride route has wet roads, it is our club policy to cancel a club ride. Club members may still choose to meet and ride in these conditions; however the ride will not be considered an official club ride. / Citibank start location to Malibou Lake - Rock Store - Mulholland Hwy - Decker Canyon - around Westlake Lake. 25 + miles with 2,100' of climbing. Starting at 5:15pm Same route as the Tuesday Red Ride (without upper Encinal Canyon). Dale Smith will lead the ride. Re-group at: Cornell / Mulholland and top of Rock Store. Wed. afternoon bike ride

We ALL know what the weather report is for Wed. I am going to leave the ride on, just in case some weather guy made a mistake... but.........IF it does rain Wed. we are NOT riding. However, if it does rain Wed. we will switch to Thursday to enjoy our mid week spin. So count on ONE of these days.... Let's keep it simple and go for a Hidden Valley ride with an additional spin around Carlisle! CVC Wednesday Landing Ride Oct. 5 3:45pm The Landing ride is an intermediate recreational ride 20 to 25 miles in length with an average pace of 14+mph. It is not a "no drop ride" but let's try to stick together and have a fun,safe time. Tuesday Night MTB Ride 10-4-11 6pm start Cheeseboro

Hey MTB'rs, Charge those lights.....Its time for the Tuesday Night MTB ride to flare back up (like the way i did that?). Last season I heard a lot of good ideas from everyone, so we are going to make some minor changes to the ride. For one, we will ride at more of a gold type pace and treat the ride as a no drop type. the other idea that came up was that when we ride certain areas, we offer a shortened route. This week we will ride Cheeseboro. The main route will be the Canyon to Connector and up the Ridge fire road. Then we will descend Sulpher springs and back to the lot. This is a 10 mile route with moderate+ climbing and some technical sections. And if there is interest and someone to lead, Cheeseboro also will allow us to have a short route of Cheseboro Canyon to the bottom of Sulpher Springs and back. This route is 6 miles and consists of rolling fire road. We will meet at the lower parking lot of Cheeseboro Canyon which is located on Cheeseboro Rd north of Driver Ave. The Tuesday MTB night ride is a no drop ride so lets stay together and have a fun safe time. Be sure to have a light capable of lighting a dark trail and lasting at least 2.5 hours and bring a spare tube & pump at a minimum. See you Tuesday night Kent Koral CVC Ride Director 818-802-0826

CVC Sunday Social / Recovery Ride -- Sunday October 2nd - 9:00am Meeting at Citibank Parking Lot - Westlake Village -- Westlake Blvd. & Agoura Road (North East Corner) Come out and join us for a social paced recovery ride (14 Mph Avg. Speed). 25-30 miles max. and then stay a while to socialize afterwards by having an after-ride beverage and snack. This week we will warm up by going around the lake and then towards Conejo School Road/La Granada pass through to Erbes. North down the hill on Erbes to Arboles where we will go up and around our Lang Ranch loop. >From there a slight climb up Westlake to Valley Spring where we will wind our way up and around County Club Drive back out to Kanan. Kanan to Fountainwood which we will use to connect back into Thousand Oaks Blvd. An optional Forest Cove - Reyes Adobe to Lake Lindero scenic ride and then back to socialize. After ride socializing - Natural Cafe' Restaurant - Patio and/or front grassy courtyard area. CVC Sunday Purple Ride -- Sunday Oct 2nd - 9:00 am Meeting at Citibank Parking Lot - Westlake Village -- Westlake Blvd. & Agoura Road (North East Corner) Route: Wildwood Loop Hi Purple Riders, This Sunday, we will ride out to Wildwood. ****I know Christine did this last week, but we need to avoid some construction and traffic related to Reyes Adobe Days*** Below is a link to the Ride With GPS website that will show you the route. Be sure to print out a route slip if you are unfamiliar with the area. The ride is 20.9 miles with only 1410 ft. of climbing. It'll be fun! CVC Saturday Gold Ride, Oct 1, 8:30am Meeting at the Sprouts parking lot, Westlake Village, (corner of Westlake Blvd & Agoura Rd)* *Route: Wood Ranch, Simi Valley, Moorpark. 38 miles with 2,400' climbing Hey Gold Riders, Lets head out towards Wood Ranch, West Simi Valley, Moorpark College and back. Have not gone that way in a while. Dale Smith will be leading the ride this Saturday. Basic Route: Erbes to Olsen, Wood Ranch Parkway, Long Canyon, First Street to the Arroyo / Simi Bike path, Easy street to Collins, Moorpark College, Moorpark, Read Rd, Erbes, Hillcrest, Pentagon park and back to the finish. The Gold Ride is an intermediate recreational ride, 30 to 40 miles in length with an average pace of 13+ mph. It is not a "no drop" ride but as always let's try to stick together as much as possible. Remember to park in the area along Westlake Blvd (between the street and the first driveway aisle) and not in the area in front of the Shops/Market. If we do not respect the requests of the lease tenants we could be asked to park elsewhere. Hi Everyone, This week we will ride Portrero to the coast and back Mulholland. The route that I had to cancel a few weeks back due the Malibu Triathlon. The Orange ride is an intermediate/advanced recreational ride 40 to 50 miles in length with an average pace of 15+mph.
