CVC Board of Directors Meeting - Wednesday, December 28th - 7:00pm Westlake Village Community Fireplace Room CVC members are invited to attend our CVC Board of Directors meeting Wednesday, December 28th. This meeting is open to all active CVC members, however this is not a members meeting; this is a club business meeting. This will be my last Board of Directors meeting as President of your club. 2012 has a lot of exciting new things in store with some new faces stepping up to help lead. Some of the topics we will be discussing are: * Updating and Ratifying club By-Laws * Director Reports (Membership, Ride, etc.) * 2012 Board Vacancies and Additions * Cruisin' 2012 updates * And much more! This is a great way to see how your club runs and become more integrated into the administrative side of it. Holiday Ride -- Monday Dec 26th, 9:00 AM start. Meeting at Citibank Parking Lot - Westlake Village -- Westlake Blvd. & Agoura Road (North East Corner) Route: Potrero to Hueneme Left to Las Posas Left, to PCH South to Encinal back to the start.. Weather forecast is for 70 Deg. and mild breeze, at the start the temperature will be in the mid to high 50 Deg. Hi Everyone,On Monday December 26th. starting at 9:00AM we are riding through treasure hill down Potrero, stopping at Chanel Island University to re-group then riding to PCH and stopping at the Sycamore Beach for restrooms and water. The ride continues on PCH returning on Encinal. Note: Their will be several re-groups on Encinal Canyon, water and refreshments will be available. Please wear your CVC Kits as group pictures will be taken on this ride. High winds and or rain will cancel this ride. Current weather forecast is for 70 Degrees and no winds, on Monday 12/26/11. For a detailed map and route slip, go to: http://ridewithgps.com/routes/781859 First stop at Lake Sherwood, Fire Station for restrooms and water. We will re-group at the top of Treasure Hill. Next re-group at Chanel Island University. Another re-group for restrooms and water at Sycamore Beach other re-groups will be on Encinal Canyon for water and refreshments. Please Note: Last restroom is beach-side before starting the Encinal climb. As usual, we will meet at the Citibank parking lot and departing at 9:00AM. The Gold Ride is an intermediate recreational ride 30 to 40 miles in length with an average pace of 14+mph. It is not a "no drop ride" but as always let's try to stick together and have a fun,safe ride. High winds and or rain will cancel this ride. Inclement weather policy: In the interest of safety, whenever it is either actively raining or the ride route has wet roads, it is our club policy to cancel a club ride. Club members may still choose to meet and ride in these conditions; however, the ride will not be considered an official club ride. After the ride, please join us at one of the many refueling options available at the finish such as Natural Cafe, Sea Casa, East Coast Bagel, Sprouts Market, etc.. Please remember to park in the area along Westlake Bl.(between the street and the first driveway aisle) and not in the area in front of the Shops/Market. Hi All, This week, since it is Christmas Eve and many may have obligations that preclude a longer ride, we will do our RockStore route with a Sycamore and/or Hidden Valley extension option. This pattern will continue until we clear the holidays. This will give us up to a 42 mile ride with plenty of climbing. For a detailed map and route slip, go to: http://ridewithgps.com/routes/337928/ As usual, we will meet at the Citibank parking lot and have our pre-ride announcements promptly at 8:30AM prior to splitting into our groups and departing. The Orange ride is an intermediate/advanced recreational ride 40 to 50 miles in length with an average pace of 15+mph. It is not a "no drop ride" but as always let's try to stick together and have a fun,safe ride. Inclement weather policy: In the interest of safety, whenever it is either actively raining or the ride route has wet roads, it is our club policy to cancel a club ride. CVC Saturday Purple Ride - Dec 24th - 8:30 am Meeting at Citibank Parking Lot - Westlake Blvd. & Agoura Road (North East Corner) Route: Up Westlake Blvd > Across Kanan > Down to Agoura > *return* OR > PLUS++ Hi Purple Riders, This Saturday, we offer a little something for all our Purple riders!!! Since there is no formal Purple ride for Sunday, CHRISTMAS, we've got a special opportunity for ALL PURPLE & Purple PLUS riders! We are following the start of the GOLD route, but we have TWO options to cut it short, if needed or you may continue forward on the GOLD route, at a Purple speed. Hi Everyone,On Saturday December 24th. starting at 8:30 AM we are riding North on Westlake turning right on Kanan left on Agoura Road a right on Lost Hills stopping at Juan Bautista park for water and rest rooms; following a brief rest we ride through Cold Canyon back to Las Virgenes to Mulholland to Cornell to the start. Tuesday Morning Ride-Sprouts Lot

Hi! I will not be having the Wed. ride for the next couple of weeks until the days are a bit longer... but will be having a couple of weekday rides. Let's meet at Sprouts Lot at 9:00 am for an approx. 25 mile ride through Hidden Valley and back around down Lynn... This is an intermediate recreational ride around 20-25 miles in length with an average pace of 14+mph. It is not a "no drop ride" but let's try to stick together and have a fun,safe time. Inclement weather policy: In the interest of safety, whenever it is either actively raining or the ride route has wet roads, it is our club policy to cancel a club ride. CVC Sunday Social / Recovery Ride -- Sunday December 18th - 9:00am

CVC Sunday Social / Recovery Ride -- Sunday December 18th - 9:00am Meeting at Citibank Parking Lot - Westlake Village -- Westlake Blvd. & Agoura Road (North East Corner) Route: Reyes Adobe / Lindero MUP Come out and join us for a local social paced ride (14 Mph Avg. Speed). Approximately 25-30 miles and then stay a while to socialize afterwards by having an after-ride beverage and snack. The plan for this Sunday is to head North on Reyes Adobe, cut through the school which puts us on Lindero Cyn., where we will find our way to the Multi Use Path that meanders through Oak Canyon Park. >From there we can take the not too traveled residential side streets to work our way South which puts us at Chumash Park all without having to ride on Kanan. Once there we can choose the return route and/or extension (I.e. Agoura with a Carlisle Canyon loop, Thousand Oaks Blvd to Forrest Cove Park pass though or a Malibou Lake loop). This route uses lightly traveled roads that avoid the traffic of the major streets. After ride socializing - Natural Cafe' Restaurant - Patio and/or front grassy courtyard area. Many options at this location for beverage and food establishments.
