*CVC PURPLE RIDE -- Saturday, September 21st, 8:30 AM* Meeting at Citibank Parking Lot - Westlake Village -- Westlake Blvd. & Agoura Road (North East Corner) for announcements; promptly at 8:30 am, then split into our groups to depart. *There is no announce ride leader. If you are available to lead please let me know. Thanks.* *Route: Wildwood Loop* *For a detailed map and route slip, go to: http://ridewithgps.com/routes/289411** * The *Purple Ride* is an entry level ride no one is dropped; however, if you are not planning on completing the route please inform the ride leader. Average distance is less than 25 miles at a pace of less than 12 MPH. It is mandatory to have & wear a helmet. It is the rider's responsibility to ensure that the helmet is in good condition. *This is a "no drop **ride**" however, please try to stay together. As always we will try to stick together & have a fun safe **ride**. We will regroup regularly to allow everyone a chance to ride together.* ** *Inclement weather policy*: In the interest of safety, whenever it is either actively raining or the ride route has wet roads, it is our club policy to cancel a club ride. Club members may still choose to meet and ridein these conditions; however, the ride will not be considered an official club ride.

Days are getting shorter...so: ROUTE: Out-and-Back through Hidden Valley WANT MORE MILES?: Carlisle, Treasure Hill are possible extensions. Let's discuss before heading out. START TIME: 5:15 p.m. DISTANCE: 20-25 miles PACE: This is an intermediate level ride that includes both Gold and Orange paces averaging 14+/15+ mph. NO DROPS:A no drop ride means that the leader will wait ahead at strategic points/turns along the route, or sweep behind the group as needed, so nobody gets left behind. Faster riders who are familiar with the course and who prefer to ride ahead are encouraged to do so; they need not wait at regroup points. DIRECTIONS TO RIDE START: Triunfo Canyon Rd. in Westlake Village, just west of the Dam (tennis) Club and little yacht club building. From the 101 Freeway, take Lindero Canyon south until it ends at Triunfo. Go right on Triunfo a couple hundred yards. You will see a grassy area. Park along the curb. Hi Fellow CVC Members and Guests We will continue our Tuesday evening gold ride to the Rock Store from Citibank location to Malibou Lake - Rock Store - Mulholland Hwy - Decker Canyon - around Westlake Lake. 25 + miles with 2,100' of climbing. Starting at 5:15pm Same route as the Tuesday Red Ride (without upper Encinal Canyon). Re-group at: Cornell / Mulholland and top of Rock Store. With the sun setting early lights make it much easier to see and be seen. Here's the route using "Ride with GPS". CVC PM MTB Rides week of 9-16-13

Hey CVC Mountainbikers, The rides for this week are as follows. Tuesday we're riding in Dos Vientos. Meet at Wendy and Potrero at 6:00 pm Thursday we're riding in Malibu Creek. Meet in the parking lot in DeAnza Park on Lost Hills Rd. at 6:00 pm We have been finishing after dark so at this point you need to have your light with you. Most of our rides are approximately 8-15 miles and last around 1.5-2 hours. This is a ride done jointly with the Conejo Mountain Bike club (CMB). It is an intermediate/advanced paced ride and not a no-drop ride. but,lets stay together within our groups, and have a fun safe time. Hi CVC Members and Guests, Our revised G.O. Ride formerly called the Sunday Social Ride is typically 35 to 45 miles long with 2,200 to 4,200 feet of climbing and an average speed of 13 to 15 mph. As usual, we will meet at the Citibank parking lot and have our pre-ride announcements promptly at 9:00 AM then splitting into our groups and departing. This Sundays G.O. Ride is as follows: 37.5 miles. 2974 feet climbing. Route: Westlake to Arboles left on Parkview then a Left on Erbes follow by a Right on La Granada, we will ride up Lynn to Dos Vientos and returning on Portrero. This route is recent addition to the rotation so have a route slip if you are unfamiliar with these directions. Dos Ventos Community Center for Restroom and Water This is a "drop ride" meaning that if you can't keep up with the group, and/or catch up within the re-group times - you are "on your own" to know the route from previous knowledge or by following the route slip. It is possible and/or probable that members can assist others with mechanical & other rider emergencies along the route however. Our re-group spots are meant to allow a short break & a chance for riders to catch up so that the group can ride together as much as is possible.
