Hi CVC Mountainbikers,
The rides for this week are as follows.
Tuesday we're riding in Chesebro. Meet in the front parking lot at 6:00 pm
Thursday we're riding in Dos Vientos. Meet at Wendy and Potrero at 6:00 pmm
As it is now completely dark at the start, make sure those lights are
charged and ready. A tail light is a good option to bring as some of the
routes put us briefly on streets.
Most of our rides are approximately 8-15 miles and last around 1.5-2 hours.
Our rides are done jointly with the Conejo Mountain Bike club (CMB). It is
an intermediate paced ride and we wait for all (within reason) and stay
together within our groups, so as to have a fun safe time.
Always make sure you have your Helmet (mandatory),Water, spares, and a
light.
See you soon.

Hi All
I've just been advised that the
9:00am Stearn's Wharf meeting location = "Standard" SB Away Ride for tomorrow
will be less attended as was anticipated and subsequently without a specific ride leader
so for those of you that do show up, please organize yourselves
in a riding group and/or print the route slip so that you can follow the perscribed route.
There might be those of you that have another route in mind so feel free to modify
the route by announcing a different route.
Weather still looks great - so have a nice ride.
I am still planning on leading the Tucker's Grover Park - Gibralter Rd. climb route
as was previously announced - so we're good to go on that ride.
Jim Doane - CVC
Hi CVC Members and Guests,
Our revised G.O. Ride formerly called the Sunday Social Ride is typically 35 to 45 miles long with 2,200 to 4,200 feet of climbing and an average speed of 13 to 15 mph.
As usual, we will meet at the Citibank parking lot and have our pre-ride announcements promptly at 9:00 AM then splitting into our groups and departing.
This Sundays G.O. Ride is as follows: 37.5 miles. 2974 feet climbing.
Route: Westlake to Arboles left on Parkview then a Left on Erbes follow by a Right on La Granada, we will ride up Lynn to Dos Vientos and returning on Portrero. This route is recent addition to the rotation so have a route slip if you are unfamiliar with these directions.
For a detailed map and route slip, go to: http://ridewithgps.com/routes/3344419
Regrouping Locations:
Westlake and Arboles.
La Granada and Erbes rolling re-group
Greenmeadow multi use path.
Dos Ventos Community Center for Restroom and Water
This is a "drop ride" meaning that if you can't keep up with the group, and/or catch up within the re-group times - you are "on your own" to know the route from previous knowledge or by following the route slip. It is possible and/or probable that members can assist others with mechanical & other rider emergencies along the route however.
Our re-group spots are meant to allow a short break & a chance for riders to catch up so that the group can ride together as much as is possible.
Inclement weather policy: In the interest of safety, whenever it is either actively raining or the ride route has wet roads, it is our club policy to cancel the official club ride. Club members may still choose to meet and ride in these conditions; however, the ride will not be considered an official club ride.
Please remember to park in the area along Westlake Bl.(between the street and the first driveway aisle) and not in the area in front of the Shops/Market. If we don't respect the requests of the lease tenants, we could be asked to park elsewhere.
Have fun and ride safe,
Dale

Hi All:
As previously announced, I'm going to be leading (from the back) one of this Sat.'s
Santa Barbara Away Rides - the Gibralter climb.
As for a "local" Red Ride route - I hesitate to make the ride decision for you
as I assume that you can organize yourselves and decide upon a local red ride of your own choosing
and/or ride with the Orange riders?
Please advise if someone does have a red ride suggestion and is willing to be the leader
and I will make the ride announcement to our member's list.
Creative, out of the box ride routes are encouraged too.
Looks like all of us will have perfect riding weather this week-end.
Let's all get out and ride!
