I believe this map will suffice: http://ridewithgps.com/routes/702127 PLEASE NOTE that this Saturday is the Road2Recovery Honor Ride that starts at the Sheriff's Station in Calabasas, on Agoura Road (between Liberty Canyon and Lost Hills). The will be rolling out west-bound up Agoura Road, then into Hidden Valley, and so on. You'll be rolling in the OPPOSITE DIRECTION - so be sure to WAVE at those of us you see! We will meet at Citibank (corner of Agoura Hills and Westlake), rolling out at 8:30 AM. Please come EARLY for parking! No one gets dropped and no one is left behind. Please make sure to wear the appropriate riding attire. Please check your bike prior to Saturday and make any necessary repairs. Although the Purple ride is a "no drop" ride, for the enjoyment and safety of the participants, we will keep a 12-14 MPH average. If you feel you are not Purple ready, but want to work up to the Purple level, please contact the Ride Captain who will gladly give you some pointers and advise. We strongly recommend that you come out and meet the riders! The best stepping stone to grow into a Purple rider is to ride around Westlake! When you can sweep those 5 flat miles at a steady 12 to 14 mph pace, and still feel ready for more, then you will be able to handle many of the standard Purple routes. CVC Saturday Orange Level local and Away Rides -- Local Start Saturday June 16th 8:30 AM Away Start 9:00 AM Meeting at Citibank Parking Lot for local ride - Westlake Village -- Westlake Blvd. & Agoura Road (North East Corner) Route: Westlake to Stunt down Fernwood to Old Topanga returning on Mulholland. Weather forecast is for 79 Deg., at the start the temperature should be in the mid 60 Deg. Hi Everyone, On Saturday June 16th. starting at 8:30 AM is the local ride which is going up Stunt down Fernwood Pacifica to Old Topanga and returning on Mulholland. In addition there is an away ride with Sag Support Starting at 9:00 AM on Glendora Mt. Rd. - Mt. Baldy Village -Claremont-La Verne-San Dimas-Glendora. This ride have impeccable views as you ride along the ridgeline; however, it is a challenging constant climb to the top. Away Ride only, Ride leader is Jim Doane: Start: 9:00am : Foothill Blvd. & Valley Center Dr., Glendora CA - parking lot on East side of Valley Center Dr. (south of school buildings) Car Driving Instructions: ( 50 miles from Westlake ) Travel to #210 Frwy: East to Glendora Exit: Lone Hill Ave (turn left at bottom of off -ramp: going N) First major intersection is route # 66 = turn left 1 block on Rte # 66 bear to right on a diagonal street called: Compromise Line Rd. about 1/4 mi. = R on Valley Center Ave. look for Glendora H.S. Please be careful and cautious descending towards Topanga and do not all leave at the same time. No passing on the descent unless on a straight after notifying the rider in front and absolutely no passing on any turns. Fernwood Market is the next re-group before returning on Old Topanga to Mulholland where the water bottles can be filled at the Guard building across from 7Min Hill.Reference detailed map and route slip below for details: Please use the restroom before departing. Thursday bike ride/picnic - Lake Malibou

C'mon out and join me for my final Thursday evening picnic ride! (No, the ride will not end with my leaving! Sherie will be leading it after this week.) If you can't make the ride, come on out for the picnic...around 7:00 p.m. Thursday, June 14th, 5:30 p.m. (Around-the-lakers can start at any time - picnic @ ~7:00) Westlake Village Start (directions below) *Route:* *Lake Malibou* - Triunfo to Westlake, right to Agoura Rd, right to Cornell, right, and up Cornell to Mulholland; around Lake Malibou and back the same way. Other alternatives back are up Rock Store or Troutdale and up Kanan. For CVC'rs, longer ride is between a "gold" and "orange" level. No drops. I wait for the slowest rider. *RIDE START:* Triunfo Road just west of the Dam (tennis) Club and little yacht club building in Westlake Village. (From the 101 Fwy, take Lindero Cyn. south until it ends at Triunfo. Go right on Triunfo a couple hundred yards…where there's grass, sidewalk, the lake…and park along the curb. Picnic is here after the ride.) *TIME:* Those wishing to get in ~20 miles, 5:30, ready to ride. Those just going around the lake can show up at any time. *PICNIC:* After riding - picnic starts around 7:00 p.m. *WHAT TO BRING:* HELMET AND BIKE! For picnic, bring something to share (cheese, crackers, fruit, olives, pretzels, cookies, whatever…), a beverage (and something to drink it in if you don't want to drink out of the bottle), something to SIT on and a warm jacket. Also bring any friends, neighbors, relatives, S.O.'s and anyone else who might like to join us (preferably with bikes). Don't forget spare tubes, water bottles, etc. *ROUTES:* Longer ride: Routes will include Hidden Valley, Lake Malibou, North Ranch, and wherever. Around the lake: cruise around the lake in wide bike lanes…no left turns…~5 miles each loop…all flat, no discernible hills. *Inclement weather policy: In the interest of safety, whenever it is either actively raining or the ride route has wet roads, it is our club policy to cancel a club ride. CVC Tuesday PM Intermediate/Adv MTB Ride 6pm Cheesebro

Hey CVC Mountain Bike Riders, This Tuesday the Intermidiate/Advanced Mountain Bike ride will hit Cheesebro Canyon. Park at the lot on Cheesebro Rd North of Driver Ave. Routes to be determined. Most of our rides are approximately 8-15 miles and last around 1.5 hours. This is an intermediate/advanced paced ride. Lets stay together within our groups, and have a fun safe time. At this point you probably wont need to use a light except in case we get caught out late. After the ride we can visit Ladyface Brewery for some food and refreshments. See you out there. Kent Koral.

CVC Tuesday Evening Novice to Intermediate MTB ride Meeting this week at Cheseboro Rd and Cheseboro Canyon Rd in Agoura Hills. http://goo.gl/maps/HD2H Start time is 6:00pm This weeks ride is back at Cheseboro. We will follow Cheseboro Canyon Rd all the way up to Shepard's Flat. Then come back down. About 9 miles total. . You do not need a fully suspended mountain bike or any particular mountain biking skills. We will help you get going. I need to stop riding the mountain bike for a while so Joan Sauber will be taking over as the Novice MTB ride leader. She has been at most all of the rides so far and is a good rider and leader. Hi CVC'ers: THREE Saturday's from now ( the 16th) - I propose that we ride in the San Gabriel Mt.'s as this month's "Away Ride" Connie Soloway has generously agreed to drive her car as a SAG vehicle for our water, snacks, supplies & bike tubes & tools So we will be riding "fully supported" this time: We will have coolers & ice - please bring what else you'd like for drinks & snacks and/or a couple $ to help defray the supplies cost Glendora Mt. Rd. - Mt. Suitable to Orange & Red Club riders: both in distance & overall climbing feet: Many places to turn around and ride back downhill if you so desire After twenty miles - we'll descend to Baldy Village (water, food, beer) Challenge: while others are 'lunching" at the Lodge - you can climb the extra credit steep switchbacks Then we can ride back either of two routes - we'll see who wants to ride which ..... 1) Downhill to Claremont, La Verne, across a couple small rollers & bike path to San Dimas & Glendora - see the route & map above OR..... 2) Re-ride the route in the opposite direction ( retrace ride - I didn't draw map) - steep but relatively short climb ( .8 mi. out of Baldy Village then mostly downhill on Glendora Ridge Rd. ( some rollers) & GMR back to cars - less traffic this way and nicer canyon views Ride Specifics: Total ride approx. 50+ mile loop Climbing concentrated in first one-third of ride - similiar to our Yerba Buena Rd. The total ride is easier than riding all of Yerba Buena however. If you like our Mulholland Hwy ride from PCH - you'll like this ride even better. First 4 miles (4-12% grades max.) averages 8-9% Then ride across Ridge (4-5%) overlooking Azusa Canyon: Morris Reservoir & San Gabriel Reservoir Last turn - Newman Point overlook : 6.2 miles - before heading due East Top of climbing part: 8.5 Descend to Intersection of Glendora Ridge Rd. at :8.9 mi. Ride for 11.1 miles ( mostly gradual swooping uphills & downhills) Cow Canyon Saddle : at 20.0 miles Steep descent (.8 mi.) to Mt. Baldy Village (at 4,000' elevation) Stop for water-food, beer at Mt. Baldy Restaurant # 1 return route goes down into Claremont -mostly flat with some minor rolling grades across to La Verne, San Dimas & Glendora # 2 return route - retraces the route we rode in on Bike Ride Start: Glendora High School - on Valley Center Dr. Tnen we'll ride .......
