Hey CVC Mountain Bike Riders, This Tuesday the Intermediate/Advanced Mountain Bike Ride will ride Space Mountain (since it may be damp). Meet at the trail head on Moorpark rd at Green Meadow. Be ready to ride at 6pm. I won't make it this week (sick) but the regulars will be there. Routes to be determined. Most of our rides are approximately 8-15 miles and last around 1.5-2 hours. This is an intermediate/advanced paced ride and not a no-drop ride. but,lets stay together within our groups, and have a fun safe time. You will need a light and spares. Due to winds and our very exciting Club Meeting... I am canceling the Wednesday afternoon ride. Everyone should come to the meeting and see Jennifer who will be going over yoga, (no pretzel yoga) just yoga stretches for cyclists. She helps build strength and flexibility where needed and has stretches you can even do on your ride... (when you stop of course)! See you all Wednesday night! Sheri

CVC Purple Level Ride -- Sunday, February 17th, 9:00AM Meeting at Citibank Parking Lot - Westlake Village -- Westlake Blvd. & Agoura Road (North East Corner) for announcements; promptly at 9:00 AM, then split into our groups to depart. Route: New challenge, Potrero Canyon Counter Clockwise: For a detailed map and route slip, go to: http://ridewithgps.com/routes/1962302 Regroups: As frequent as possible to maintain the group Greenmeadow Bypass for Restrooms Fire Station 33 for Water and restrooms The Purple Ride is an entry level ride no one is dropped; however, if you are not planning on completing the route please inform the ride leader. Average distance is less than 25 miles at a pace of less than 12 MPH. It is mandatory to have & wear a helmet. It is the rider's responsibility to ensure that the helmet is in good condition. This is a "no drop ride" however, please try to stay together. As always we will try to stick together & have a fun safe ride. We will regroup regularly to allow everyone a chance to ride together. Things to have: Helmet !!! - Water to complete the ride or at least to reach the next water stop - Tools to perform minor repairs -Chain repair linkage - Inner-tube and pump (or the like) - Cellular phone - Food to replenish energy. Inclement weather policy: In the interest of safety, whenever it is either actively raining or the ride route has wet roads, it is our club policy to cancel a club ride. CVC Sunday Social Ride – Sunday 9:00 AM Meeting at Citibank Parking Lot - Westlake Village -- Westlake Blvd. & Agoura Road (North East Corner), this is a longer social route with options to make it shorter. Route: Westlake to Arboles left on Parkview then a Left on Erbes follow by a Right on La Granada, we will ride up Lynn to Dos Vientos and returning on Portrero. This route is recent addition to the rotation so have a route slip if you are unfamiliar with these directions. Hi Everyone, On Sunday starting at 9:00 AM the Social Ride is riding to Does Vientos and returning on Potrero. Please reference the route slip and map for details as this is new to the Social Ride.
