*Dear Members,*
I missed seeing some of you at the party, so I wanted to take a moment to
clarify any rumors that may be circulating. They are, in fact, true.
I’d like to reiterate some of what I shared this evening.
The lifelong friendships, shared passions, and the strength of this
club—first formed in the 1980s and one I’ve been honored to help grow—have
meant more to me than I can put into words. This club has carried me
through some of the hardest times of my life and has also given me some of
the very best moments. And now, it is time for me to pass the baton.
I feel I have given all that I can, and it is time for someone new to step
in. Kent and I will always remain loyal to CVC and will continue to support
the club in any way we can. However, I want to share that I will be
stepping down from my role as President in *2026*. I am more than willing
to help train and support whoever takes on this role over the coming year,
but it is time for us to take a step back and allow for fresh leadership
and new energy. At this time, no successor has been identified.
This decision has not been easy. I have served as President while teaching
full-time, raising children, and navigating some very challenging chapters
of my life. I have been incredibly fortunate to have amazing teams
alongside me, and running this club has been both life-changing and deeply
fulfilling.
I encourage all members to consider stepping into a leadership role.
Volunteers will be needed now more than ever. Please reach out to me, email
me, speak with any board member, —CVC needs you. Together, we can ensure
this club continues to thrive.
My twenty years with CVC represent a significant chapter of my life, and I
am proud to have been such a meaningful part of this community. I look
forward to supporting whoever takes on the important and rewarding
challenges ahead.
With gratitude and love,
*Sheri*
