Come on out and join CVC on Thursday August 8th @ 5:15 p.m. for the Malibou Lake Ride.
This week’s approach to Malibou Lake will be a little different. We
will ride past Cornell to turn right on Malibu Hills Rd. Our ride is a bit longer this week, the days are getting shorter, so we will start 15 minutes earlier. If you are
not familiar with the route, please review and/or bring a copy of the route slip with you. The
Ride starts at 5:15 p.m.
ROUTE: Malibou
Lake via Las Virgenes
PLEASE READ THIS:
While on Las Virgenes, please maintain single
file. No passing until we are off of Las Virgenes.
DISTANCE: 25 miles. PACE: This is an intermediate
level ride that typically includes both Gold
and Orange
paces averaging 14+/15+
mph.
NO
DROPS:
Your leader will either wait ahead at strategic
points/turns along the route or sweep behind the group, as needed, so nobody
gets left behind. Faster riders who are familiar with the course and who prefer
to ride ahead are encouraged to do so; they need not wait at regroup points.
DIRECTIONS TO RIDE START: Triunfo
Canyon Rd. in Westlake Village, just west of the Dam (tennis) Club and little
yacht club building. From the 101 Freeway, take Lindero Canyon south until it
ends at Triunfo. Go right on Triunfo a couple hundred yards. You will see a
grassy area. Park along the curb.
