Hi Orange Riders,
As you may have already read, I am very happy to be able to announce that
Ken Reed has stepped up to become your new Orange Ride Captain. I know Ken
will be outstanding in this position and I am thrilled that he has joined
our team of very capable Ride Captains.....Way to go Ken!!!!!
Look for Ken to start announcing and leading the rides next week.
Many of our members will riding the Cool Breeze Century this Saturday including
your new Captain, Ken. In lieu of a regular leader, please make sure you
know the route and look out for each other.
This weeks route will be Topanga / Old Topanga CCW Fig 8..... (Yeah, I know)
For a detail look at the route, go to :

As usual, we will meet at the Citibank parking lot at 8:30
and have our pre-ride announcements prior to splitting into our groups and
departing.
The Orange ride is an intermediate/advanced recreational ride 40 to 50
miles in length with an average pace of
13-15
+mph. It is not a "no drop ride" but as always let's try to stick together
and have a fun,safe ride.
And as always, helmets are mandatory and remember to have plenty of water
and spares.
Inclement weather policy: In the interest of safety, whenever it is either
actively raining or the ride route has wet roads, it is our club policy to
cancel a club ride. Club members may still choose to meet and ride in these
conditions; however, the ride will not be considered an official club ride.
After the ride, please join us at one of the many refueling options
available at the finish such as Natural Cafe, Sea Casa, East Coast Bagel,
Sprouts Market, etc..
Please remember to park in the area along Westlake Bl.(between the street
and the first driveway aisle) and not in the area in front of the
Shops/Market. If we don't respect the requests of the lease tenants, we
could be asked to park elsewhere.
I'll see you out on the road or trail,
Kent Koral
