Hey CVCrs Finally a Friday.... Below is a re-cap of the rides this weekend and next week. See the ride leaders individual posts on the mail list for more information. Saturday: 8:30am Start at Citibank/Sprouts parking lot at Westlake Bl and Agoura Rd. - Purple: Carlisle Canyon with Beth - Gold North Ranch route CCW with Bob - Orange: Simi/Box Canyon with Norm - Red: Westlake/U Encinal/Rock/7 Min with Jim Sunday: 9:00am start at Citibank/Sprouts parking lot at Westlake Bl and Agoura Rd. - Purple: Malibou Lake Loop with Beth - Social: Reyes Adobe/Lindero MUP with Adam Next Week: - Tuesday Night MTB Ride with Kent at 6:00pm Location TBA - Sheri's Wednesday Afternoon Landing Ride 3:30PM Inclement weather policy: In the interest of safety, whenever it is either actively raining or the ride route has wet roads, it is our club policy to cancel a club ride. CVC Sunday Social / Recovery Ride -- Sunday October 9th - 9:00am

CVC Sunday Social / Recovery Ride -- Sunday October 9th - 9:00am Meeting at Citibank Parking Lot - Westlake Village -- Westlake Blvd. & Agoura Road (North East Corner) Route: Reyes Adobe / Lindero MUP Come out and join us for a local social paced ride (14 Mph Avg. Speed). Approximately 25-30 miles and then stay a while to socialize afterwards by having an after-ride beverage and snack. The plan for this Sunday is to head North on Reyes Adobe, cut through the school which puts us on Lindero Cyn., where we will find our way to the Multi Use Path that meanders through Oak Canyon Park. >From there we can take the not too traveled residential side streets to work our way South which puts us at Chumash Park all without having to ride on Kanan. Once there we can choose the return route and/or extension (I.e. Agoura with a Carlisle Canyon loop, Thousand Oaks Blvd to Forrest Cove Park pass though or a Malibou Lake loop). This route uses lightly traveled roads that avoid the traffic of the major streets. After ride socializing - Natural Cafe' Restaurant - Patio and/or front grassy courtyard area. **CVC Saturday Gold Ride, 8:30am *** **Meeting at Citibank Parking Lot - Westlake Village -- Westlake Blvd. & Agoura Road (North East Corner) *****Route: North Ranch CCW, 32 miles with 2,500' climbing Hey Gold Riders, Let's do the North Ranch CCW Loop this Saturday. Bob Burroughs will be leading the ride. Basic Route: East on Agoura Rd to Cheseboro, Kanan. Westlake Blvd, Los Arboles, Erbes, Olsen, Pederson, Erbes, La Granada, Pentagon Park to the finish. Here is the RideWithGPS link where you can view the route, print out a map and cue sheet: http://ridewithgps.com/routes/462556 The Gold ride is an intermediate recreational ride, 30 to 40 miles in length with an average pace of 14+ mph. It is not a "no drop" ride but as always let's try to stick together as much as possible. Please remember to park in the area along Westlake Bl.(between the street and the first driveway aisle) and not in the area in front of the Shops/Market. If we don't respect the requests of the lease tenants, we could be asked to park elsewhere. CVC Sunday Purple Ride -- Sunday Oct 9th - 9:00 AM Meeting at Citibank Parking Lot - Westlake Village -- Westlake Blvd. & Agoura Road (North East Corner) Greetings, This week's Sunday Purple Ride takes us on the Malibou Lake Loop. It is 19.2 miles, with around 1200ft of climbing - all rollers or not much worse! Remember - you can loop the lake for an extra 5 miles of flat rolling! Afterward, join the other members at the Natural Cafe for lunch! It is only 13.3 miles but several extension options are available. You can add in some Hidden Valley scenery or add a lake loop a the end depending on what the group wants to do. Hi Everyone, This week Norm will be leading Orange and he wants the Simi Ride. The weather will be perfect for it. The Orange ride is an intermediate/advanced recreational ride 40 to 50 miles in length with an average pace of 15+mph. Away Ride change

Hi everyone, This weekend would traditionally be our Club away ride, but we have decided to lend support to the Share the Road ride in Simi on 10-15-2011. Anyone who is interested in the ride and the foundation can see an excerpt below from Adam's email last week on the subject. We will still have a complete selection of our regular rides going from Westlake on that day. .....Long time club supporter and club member Dr. Jonathan Kurohara emailed me and asked that I spread the word about a charity ride that he is working medical support for.The ride is the 2nd annual Share the Road ride benefiting The Soaring Spirits Loss Foundation.
