Hi Everyone, This week Orange will ride Old Topanga/Fernwood. Its a great route for a warm day. Lots of shade on Old Topanga and Fernwood. For a detailed map and route slip, go to: http://ridewithgps.com/routes/290138 Those that want to do the away ride can join Jim in Simi for the Soaring Spirits Foundation Ride.See his post for more information. As usual, we will meet at the Citibank parking lot and have our pre-ride announcements promptly at 8:30AM prior to splitting into our groups and departing. The Orange ride is an intermediate/advanced recreational ride 40 to 50 miles in length with an average pace of 15+mph. It is not a "no drop ride" but as always let's try to stick together and have a fun,safe ride. Inclement weather policy: In the interest of safety, whenever it is either actively raining or the ride route has wet roads, it is our club policy to cancel a club ride. Club members may still choose to meet and ride in these conditions; however, the ride will not be considered an official club ride. After the ride, please join us at one of the many refueling options available at the finish such as Natural Cafe, Sea Casa, East Coast Bagel, Sprouts Market, etc.. Please remember to park in the area along Westlake Bl.(between the street and the first driveway aisle) and not in the area in front of the Shops/Market. Hi Everyone, I have volunteered to assist with leading gold rides effective Saturday October 15. This week starting at 8:30 AM we are riding the Calabasas counter clockwise route. For a detailed map and route slip, go to: http://ridewithgps.com/routes/763671 First stop at Juan Bautista De Anza Park, for restrooms and water. Second Stop across from seven minute hill on Mulholland at the guard shack for water. Last Stop at McDonald's on Agoura Rd, at Las Virgenes for restroom and water. CVC Saturday Purple Ride -- Saturday Oct 15th - 8:30am Meeting at Citibank Parking Lot - Westlake Village -- Westlake Blvd. & Agoura Road (North East Corner) Route: Hidden Valley, (out and back) Hi Purple Riders, This Saturday, we will ride out to Hidden Valley (out and back). Below is a link to the Ride With GPS website that will show you the route. Be sure to print out a route slip if you are unfamiliar with the area. The ride is 20.7 miles with only 880ft. of climbing. It'll be fun! Tuesday Evening Gold Ride Citibank start location to Malibou Lake - Rock Store - Mulholland Hwy - Decker Canyon - around Westlake Lake. 25 + miles with 2,100' of climbing. Starting at 5:15pm Same route as the Tuesday Red Ride (without upper Encinal Canyon). Re-group at: Cornell / Mulholland and top of Rock Store. Here's the route using "Ride with GPS". CVC Tuesday Night MTB Ride 8/11/11 6PM Sycamore Canyon.

Hey MTB'rs, This week Sycamore Canyon is up in our rotation. We will meet at the trail head on Portrero and Wendy. Be ready for a 6PM start. I will not be riding this week due to previous plans, so come up with a easy going route among yourselves and have fun. If anyone would like to take the helm, that would be great. The Tuesday MTB night ride is a no drop ride so lets stay together and have a fun safe time.
