Hi Everyone, Up in the rotation this week is the popular Northern and North Western Thousand Oaks / Lynn Ranch ride. For those that have not ridden this route before we climb North up Westlake to Arboles. A quick hop over to Pederson and around to Big Sky / Wildwood Park. We then cut through the residential area of Thousand Oaks to avoid Lynn Road where we end up in Lynn Ranch. A couple return options exist with a final cut through at what I call Pentagon Park back to Village Glen Plaza. http://ridewithgps.com/routes/1835712 After ride socializing - Natural Cafe' Restaurant - Patio and/or front grassy courtyard area. Many options at this location for beverage and food establishments. Things to have: Helmet !!! - Water to complete the ride or at least to reach the next water stop - Tools to perform minor repairs -Chain repair linkage - Inner-tube and pump (or the like) - Cellular phone - Food to replenish energy. Inclement weather policy: In the interest of safety, whenever it is either actively raining or the ride route has wet roads, it is our club policy to cancel club rides. Saturday - Partly Cloudy - 80 degree high - winds SW 8 mph - 0 chance of rain Let's ride a nice descent & climb with a view : Saturday, 3-2nd CVC Red Ride: 8:30am Citibank/Sprouts Parking lot (NE Corner Agoura Rd. & Westlake Blvd.) Westlake-Mulholland-PCH-Yerba Buena-Mulholland-Westlake 45.5 miles - approx. 4,500' climbing Here's the RWGPS Map: http://ridewithgps.com/routes/2070726 Ride out of Sprouts Market parking lot Ride East on Agoura Rd. Right on Triunfo Canyon Rd. Left on Westlake/Decker to Mulholland Hwy (climb from Carlisle Canyon to Mulholland: 2.4 miles, 810' climbing) (1st re-group - on Mulholland Hwy - last stinger's driveway water stop) Across Mulholland Hwy to PCH descent ( 7.5 mi. mostly descending- watch out for loose gravel & rocks on the turns ) ( 2nd re-group - Leo Carrillo campground entrance) PCH westbound to right turn at Neptune's Net: starting Yerba Buena ( 8.1 miles, 2360' climbing) ( 3rd re-group - Top of Yerba Buena : Park Rangers call it "Party Rock" ) Yerba Buena down to Little Sycamore descent Mulholland Hwy to Westlake/Decker ( add another descent/ascent loop from here if you want a longer ride) Or.... ride directly to ..... Hey CVC Mountain Bike Riders, This Tuesday the Intermediate/Advanced Mountain Bike Ride will ride Wildwood. Meet at the trail head at the west end of Arboles. Be ready to ride at 6pm. Routes to be determined. Most of our rides are approximately 8-15 miles and last around 1.5-2 hours. This is an intermediate/advanced paced ride and not a no-drop ride. but,lets stay together within our groups, and have a fun safe time. You will need a light and spares. Last nights CVC Members Meeting

Hi All, We had a great turnout for a great meeting last night. I want to thank Jennifer Elliot for her time and valuable information about the benefits of yoga for cyclists. She was kind enough to hand out discount passes to Yogaworks where she conducts classes. She also has a Yoga for Cyclists video that can be purchased at a discount by reaching Sheila Sherwyn at: runisbliss(a)aol.com . Henry may still have some Yogaworks discount passes so check with him at the ride start on Saturday. Also Thanks to all that made the meeting possible; Lee Cole for the Cruisin' the Conejo status information, JC Simmons for the community outreach report, Mitch Albo for the race team report and of course Henry Montalvo for putting the whole enchilada together.
