Announcing... (drum roll please)... The introduction of the Fall/Winter Late Afternoon Happy Hour Ride! You asked, you got it.. Brought to you by popular demand, Sheri L. and Kent will be hosting the Wednesday Hump Day, Happy Hour Rides! Once a month. the 4th Wednesday of each month, we will meet, ride, and then follow up with some socializing with our CVC friends and co-riders! We can't let a little time change stop us! When Sherrie F. continues her rides in the spring, we will go back with her later schedule. But for now. on an earlier time slot, it gives us a good chance to be able to drop by, say hello to each other, and sit and mingle about our bikes, riding, and all else that we want to chat about! The ride will leave from STONE HAUS THIS Wed. at 3:45. We will park as close to Stone Haus as we can get. 32039 Agoura Rd, Westlake Village, CA 91361 Route to be determined at ride start, all Wednesday rides are about 20-22 miles with a 15+ average. OPTIONS: The good news.. If you can't make the ride, you can always come by for the socializing! We should return to Stone Haus by about 5:45. AND.. If you can't make the socializing, you can always come for the ride! The only obligation is having a good time! Please let me know if you will be joining this first month of festivities so I can hold aside some room. This week promises to be a warm fall evening. Perfect for outside! As with any other CVC ride, please arrive with water, helmet. CVC Inclement Weather Policy: In the interest of safety, whenever it is either actively raining, excessively windy, or the ride route has wet roads, it is our club policy to cancel a club ride. The red paced Rock Store ride continues on Tuesday October 21st at 5:30 pm PDT sharp. The ride leaves from the Landings parking lot. Sunset is at about 6:10 pm while we are climbing Rock Store. So you need lights to complete either the short or long route. Only 2 rides left this year. Noooooo..... Landing - Agoura Road to Cornell - Cornell - Malibou Lake - Rock Store - Upper Encinal - Stingers - Decker/Westlake Descent - around Westlake Lake - Sprint on Lindero to Baronsgate Road - Agoura Road - Lakeview back to Landings Re-group at the Encinal Y for a few minutes. RWGPS route with Mulholland return ( without Upper E) 26 + miles with 1,900' of climbing. CVC MTB rides for the week 10/20

Hi All, We had a great turnout for the COSCA trail day last Saturday and we were able to build and maintain a good section of trail near the White Horse Descent of Death. Thanks to all that came out. The ride schedule for this week is as follows, per Ben Griffes with CMB: ** Tuesday we're riding in Chesebro. Meet in the front parking lot at 6:00 pm Thursday we're riding in Sycamore Cyn. Meet at Wendy and Potrero at 6:00 pm ** Most of the rides are approximately 8-15 miles and last around 1.5-2 hours. Our rides are done jointly with the Conejo Mountain Bike club (CMB). It is an intermediate paced ride and not a no-drop ride. but,lets stay together within our groups, and have a fun safe time. All rides not asterisked are considered a "drop ride" so please understand the route before you start (and how to get back). If you get to a regrouping spot and no one is there, consider yourself dropped. As always we will try to stick together & have a fun safe ride. We will regroup regularly to allow everyone a chance to ride together. If for any reason you leave a group ride, please pass along the information to the ride leader. It is mandatory to have & wear a helmet. CVC Thursday Evening 5:30 pm Red Ride

The Thursday evening red ride will continue on Thursday October 16th, 2014. The ride leaves from the Landing parking lot at 5:00 pm sharp. The route is an out and back to Latigo First Summit with an option to return via Upper Encinal. Lights are required. The route will change week to week and includes: 1) Reverse Rock Store Loop 2) Up and over to PCH via Encinal and back. 3) Up and over to PCH via Encinal and Mulholland 4) Whatever else riders want to do. Inclement weather policy: In the interest of safety, whenever it is either actively raining or the ride route has wet roads, it is our club policy to cancel the official club ride. Speak up for Bike Lanes!

Please come out to the T.O. City Council meeting this Tuesday evening at at City Hall, 2100 T.O. Blvd. Meeting starts at 6:00 pm sharp. Help us make a strong statement that we need this improvements to the Hillcrest Dr Bike Lane. This agenda item addressed "Restriping of Hillcrest Dr" to give us a Class 2 Bike Lanes on this very important arterial that connects Westlake Blvd to the Amgen/Home Depot industrial area. Agenda usually hits open Public Comments about 6:30, item #6 on the agenda this week. We need to show up in significant numbers, demonstrating that we are paying attention and that we care. Think about it, three of these council members are up for reelection in just three weeks. You will be noticed. Be there and speak or simply fill out a written statement at the front desk. If you can't make it, post a message to your council member email.

Hi All, A little cooler this week..But that will change. Important reminder, This Saturday is the Conejo Open Space Trail Day. Come out and give back to the trails that give us so much enjoyment!! The start is from The Landings location and procedes to Malibou Lake - Rock Store - Mulholland Hwy - Decker Canyon - around Westlake Lake. 25 + miles with 2,100' of climbing. Starting at 5:00 pm. on October 7th. Same route as the Tuesday Red Ride (without upper Encinal Canyon). Re-group Cornell / Mulholland, top of Rock Store ad bottom of Westlake for a lake lap.
