Great fun today!
by Sheri L 23 Jun '24

23 Jun '24

Thank you everyone for making the picnic such a fun time! Thanks for ALL that you brought so many yummy things, and to those that came early and set up and especially to those that came and grilled on this very hot day. Zev, Ken, Marty, Tex, and Martin! You rock! SO appreciated! And thanks to those that stayed and cleaned up! Fun time seeing everyone! Don't ask how we picked the hottest day of 2024, but we did it! Summer has officially arrived! I will try to put some pics out on Facebook and I know Kim has something brewing! If anyone else has pics to share, send them on over. -- Sheri PS. Tim's pig loved the leftover buns! The lurking teenage girls loved leftover cookies, (no pics)

Last Picnic Info!!!! Please see.
by Sheri L 19 Jun '24

19 Jun '24

Hi Everyone! Just wanted to send out a final reminder about the picnic this weekend. I will attach the link to the evite on here again. http://evite.me/EZrXrfUtSY Please remember to bring a chair if you can as I do not know what the seating will be like. We will need to get your RSVP in* by Friday *so that we can shop accordingly. The original list of what people are bringing got deleted, so I hope you remember!!!!! I know from that, we had 5 people signed up to bring a case of water and a couple for charcoal. That is plenty! So unless you already signed up for it, please bring something else. What can you bring? Anything! We have almost 80 people coming, so the more food the more fun! We can always use *lots* of salads, pasta salad, bean salads, green salads, fruits, even chili, etc. It will be quite warm, so not sure if that helps or not. Also, remember to bring a serving utensil. If you like lettuce or sliced tomatoes for your burgers, that is a good idea of what else we need. Tomatoes for 80? A few can do this. If you signed up to grill or set up, if you can be there by 2:15- 2:30 that would be great! We still need more help! With 80 people coming, we hope to find more CVC members to chip in. Don't forget your adult beverages. See you riding, or enjoying the summer solstice Sunday! -- Sheri

Route for tomorrow Tuesday 9:00
by Sheri L 17 Jun '24

17 Jun '24

Hi All, We are going out to Moorpark tomorrow. This route is not accurate, but it gives the overall picture. We will take Westlake up, (Not around the lake first) and take it to Arboles, Erbes, Pederson) down Norwegian, and so on. Then when we return from Moorpark, we will take Erbes back all the way to Hillcrest and come back via Duesenberg. So this route is for your overall look but not exact. We will talk about it tomorrow. See you then. <goog_2123178193> https://ridewithgps.com/routes/2181886 -- Sheri
