It's time again for that humpday afternoon spin! It is supposed to be a BEAUTIFUL day! CVC Wednesday Landing Ride Oct. 12 3:45pm Route Ideas: Agoura to Las Virgenes Right on Mullholland Malibu Lake Lap and back North Ranch Loop via Erbes to Arboles to Westlak\ Hidden Valley We will vote at start!!! The Landing ride is an intermediate recreational ride 20 to 25 miles in length with an average pace of 14+mph. It is not a "no drop ride" but let's try to stick together and have a fun,safe time. Inclement weather policy: In the interest of safety, whenever it is either actively raining or the ride route has wet roads, it is our club policy to cancel a club ride. Club members may still choose to meet and ride in these conditions; however, the ride will not be considered an official club ride. Come on and ride with us! Tuesday Evening Gold Ride Citibank start location to Malibou Lake - Rock Store - Mulholland Hwy - Decker Canyon - around Westlake Lake. 25 + miles with 2,100' of climbing. Starting at 5:15pm Same route as the Tuesday Red Ride (without upper Encinal Canyon). Re-group at: Cornell / Mulholland and top of Rock Store. Here's the route using "Ride with GPS". Hey MTB'rs, This week Sycamore Canyon is up in our rotation. We will meet at the trail head on Portrero and Wendy. Be ready for a 6PM start. I will not be riding this week due to previous plans, so come up with a easy going route among yourselves and have fun. If anyone would like to take the helm, that would be great. The Tuesday MTB night ride is a no drop ride so lets stay together and have a fun safe time. CVC Sunday Social / Recovery Ride -- Sunday October 9th - 9:00am Meeting at Citibank Parking Lot - Westlake Village -- Westlake Blvd. & Agoura Road (North East Corner) Route: Reyes Adobe / Lindero MUP Come out and join us for a local social paced ride (14 Mph Avg. Speed). Approximately 25-30 miles and then stay a while to socialize afterwards by having an after-ride beverage and snack. The plan for this Sunday is to head North on Reyes Adobe, cut through the school which puts us on Lindero Cyn., where we will find our way to the Multi Use Path that meanders through Oak Canyon Park. >From there we can take the not too traveled residential side streets to work our way South which puts us at Chumash Park all without having to ride on Kanan. Once there we can choose the return route and/or extension (I.e. Agoura with a Carlisle Canyon loop, Thousand Oaks Blvd to Forrest Cove Park pass though or a Malibou Lake loop). This route uses lightly traveled roads that avoid the traffic of the major streets. After ride socializing - Natural Cafe' Restaurant - Patio and/or front grassy courtyard area. **CVC Saturday Gold Ride, 8:30am *** **Meeting at Citibank Parking Lot - Westlake Village -- Westlake Blvd. & Agoura Road (North East Corner) *****Route: North Ranch CCW, 32 miles with 2,500' climbing Hey Gold Riders, Let's do the North Ranch CCW Loop this Saturday. Bob Burroughs will be leading the ride. Basic Route: East on Agoura Rd to Cheseboro, Kanan. Westlake Blvd, Los Arboles, Erbes, Olsen, Pederson, Erbes, La Granada, Pentagon Park to the finish. It is not a "no drop" ride but as always let's try to stick together as much as possible. If we don't respect the requests of the lease tenants, we could be asked to park elsewhere. It is 19.2 miles, with around 1200ft of climbing - all rollers or not much worse! Remember - you can loop the lake for an extra 5 miles of flat rolling! Afterward, join the other members at the Natural Cafe for lunch! It is only 13.3 miles but several extension options are available. You can add in some Hidden Valley scenery or add a lake loop a the end depending on what the group wants to do. Hi Everyone, This week Norm will be leading Orange and he wants the Simi Ride. The weather will be perfect for it.
