There are very few cars out at this time and the weather is nice and cool. Come and join us. No rider gets left behind. The faster paced Rock Store ride continues on Tuesday October 20th at *5:00* pm PDT sharp. Note that we are leaving at 5 pm instead of 5:30 pm. The ride leaves from the Landings parking lot. Two more left including tomorrow. Sunset is at 6:15 pm tomorrow. Lights are needed for either Mulholland short return or Upper Encinal return. RWGPS route with Mulholland return ( without Upper E) 26 + miles with 1,900' of climbing. Hello Riders!Let the Hump Day Afternoon Rides begin! Please help me in getting our first "fall" ride off to a good start Wednesday afternoon at 3:45, eventually making our way to 3:30 as the days get shorter and the time changes. Meeting AT THE LANDING, but more towards the driveway entrance. The weather promises to be better.Let's call for about 22-23 miles. Hidden Valley/Carlisle CanyonThis is an intermediate level ride. Thursday GO Ride

CVC GO Ride Enthusiasts: I have decided not to continue the rides up until the time change so--last Thursday was our last GO ride for 2015. We have enjoyed a long, fun season of riding from and dining at different pubs this year. Thanks to all the cyclists who participated and made the ride a fun event for each other, and especially to each of you who helped me with leading and sweeping responsibilities. A special thank you to Bev and Dick Pierson who opened their home to us this summer, hosting a ride and post-ride party. In addition, having led the ride for three years, it is time for me to "step down" as ride leader and let someone else take a turn and bring in new ideas. Please consider the temperature when choosing a route and keep an eye on what your body is telling you and whether it's just fatigue or heat exhaustion. There are two types of heat exhaustion: Water depletion. Signs include excessive thirst, weakness, headache, and loss of consciousness. Salt depletion.
