CVC Sunday Social / Recovery Ride -- Sunday, October 16th - 9:00am Meeting at Citibank Parking Lot - Westlake Village -- Westlake Blvd. & Agoura Road (North East Corner) Come out and join us for a social paced ride (14 Mph Avg. Speed). Approximately 30 miles and then stay a while to socialize afterwards by having an after-ride beverage and snack. Up in the rotation this week is the popular Northern and North Western Thousand Oaks / Lynn Ranch ride. For those that have not ridden this route before we climb North up Westlake to Arboles. A quick hop over to Pederson and around to Big Sky / Wildwood Park. We then cut through the residential area of Thousand Oaks to avoid Lynn Road where we end up in Lynn Ranch. A couple return options exist with a final cut through at what I call Pentagon Park back to Village Glen Plaza. See you there ! After ride socializing - Natural Cafe' Restaurant - Patio and/or front grassy courtyard area. CVC Sunday Purple Ride -- Sunday Oct 16th - 9:00 AM Meeting at Citibank Parking Lot - Westlake Village -- Westlake Blvd. & Agoura Road (North East Corner) Route: Old Agoura Loop Hi Purple Riders, This Sunday, we will ride our Old Agoura Loop. Below is a link to the Ride With GPS website that will show you the route. Be sure to print out a route slip if you are unfamiliar with the area. The ride is 15.9 miles with only 957 ft. of climbing. It'll be fun! Hi Everyone, This week Orange will ride Old Topanga/Fernwood. Its a great route for a warm day. Lots of shade on Old Topanga and Fernwood. For a detailed map and route slip, go to: http://ridewithgps.com/routes/290138 Those that want to do the away ride can join Jim in Simi for the Soaring Spirits Foundation Ride.See his post for more information. As usual, we will meet at the Citibank parking lot and have our pre-ride announcements promptly at 8:30AM prior to splitting into our groups and departing. The Orange ride is an intermediate/advanced recreational ride 40 to 50 miles in length with an average pace of 15+mph. It is not a "no drop ride" but as always let's try to stick together and have a fun,safe ride. Inclement weather policy: In the interest of safety, whenever it is either actively raining or the ride route has wet roads, it is our club policy to cancel a club ride. Club members may still choose to meet and ride in these conditions; however, the ride will not be considered an official club ride. After the ride, please join us at one of the many refueling options available at the finish such as Natural Cafe, Sea Casa, East Coast Bagel, Sprouts Market, etc.. Please remember to park in the area along Westlake Bl.(between the street and the first driveway aisle) and not in the area in front of the Shops/Market. Hi Everyone, I have volunteered to assist with leading gold rides effective Saturday October 15. This week starting at 8:30 AM we are riding the Calabasas counter clockwise route. For a detailed map and route slip, go to: http://ridewithgps.com/routes/763671 First stop at Juan Bautista De Anza Park, for restrooms and water. Second Stop across from seven minute hill on Mulholland at the guard shack for water. Last Stop at McDonald's on Agoura Rd, at Las Virgenes for restroom and water.
