Hi! Let's go ride Tuesday morning while the weather is great and we can enjoy the ride! Sprouts Parking lot. Proposed route: Agoura to Kanan to Westlake, climb into North Ranch, over to Arboles to Pederson to Wildwood to Flores, to Erbes, to La Granada, Conejo School, and back.... (yes, I really do know where... and it is a fun route!) The Tuesday morning ride is a gold/orange level pace with average of about 15+ mph. Rides vary from 25-35 miles. Tuesday morning is not a "no drop ride" but as always let's try to stick together and have a fun,safe ride. Come ride with this great group of people! Inclement weather policy: In the interest of safety, whenever it is either actively raining or the ride route has wet roads, it is our club policy to cancel a club ride. Club members may still choose to meet and ride in these conditions; however, the ride will not be considered an official club ride. See you there. Sheri

CVC Members, if you are interested in ordering club clothing, please read this email carefully. I have now put into process the beginning of our next custom club clothing order. CVC branded Items will be available for order: * Jerseys (Short Sleeve) * Bib-shorts * Shorts * Wind jackets * Arm warmers (available in black/white) * Skull cap **This ordering process with end on August 5, 2011** By that date we will need to have a completed order form as well as payment in full for your order. I will submit the order on August 6th to the manufacturer (Canari) which means the order will be delivered by the middle of September. Please refer to the individual ride captain’s ride announcement emails for specific ride details. Note that each club colored ride has a “Ride Captain” with a team of “Ride Leaders” who will lead the specific announced rides as posted by the Ride Captains. CVC Sunday Purple Ride 9:00around the lake to Foothill Dr then Conejo School Rd, to Hillcrest eventually meandering through the bike path Meeting at Citibank Parking Lot - Westlake Village. Westlake Blvd. & Agoura Road (North East Corner) This Saturday, the Purple ridewill be riding around the lake to Foothill Dr then Conejo School Rd, to Hillcrest eventually meandering through the bike path Hi Purple Riders, This week we are riding around the lake to Foothill Dr then Conejo School Rd, to Hillcrest eventually meandering through to the bike path along Conejo Creek South Park and stopping for water and rest rooms, we will then return on Erbes. This ride will be making frequent regroups and is a no drop ride; however, please inform the ride leader if you are not planning on riding the entire route. Be sure to print out a route slip if you are unfamiliar with the area. The ride is 16.8 miles with 988 ft. of climbing. Although the Purple ride is a "no drop" ride, for the enjoyment and safety of the participants, we will try to keep a 12-14 MPH average. If you feel you are not Purple ready, but want to work up to the Purple level, please contact the Ride Captain who will gladly give you some pointers and advise. We strongly recommend that you come out and meet the riders! The best stepping stone to grow into a Purple rider is to ride around Westlake! When you can sweep those 5 flat miles at a steady 12 to 14 mph pace, and still feel ready for more, then you will be able to handle many of the standard Purple routes. CVC Sunday Social / Recovery Ride -- Sunday, July 22-- 9:00am Meeting at Citibank Parking Lot - Westlake Village -- Westlake Blvd. & Agoura Road (North East Corner) Come out and join us for a social paced ride (14 Mph Avg. Speed). Approximately 30 miles and then stay a while to socialize afterwards by having an after-ride beverage and snack. Up in the rotation this week is the popular Northern and North Western Thousand Oaks / Lynn Ranch ride. For those that have not ridden this route before we climb North up Westlake to Arboles. A quick hop over to Pederson and around to Big Sky / Wildwood Park. We then cut through the residential area of Thousand Oaks to avoid Lynn Road where we end up in Lynn Ranch. A couple return options exist with a final cut through at what I call Pentagon Park back to Village Glen Plaza. See you there ! CVC Saturday Purple Ride 7/21 8:30 Carlisle Canyon Meeting at Citibank Parking Lot - Westlake Village. Westlake Blvd. & Agoura Road (North East Corner) Greetings CVC Purple riders, friends and family!!! This Saturday July 21th Purple Ride takes us to Carlisle Canyon, out and back. It is only 13.3 miles but several extension options are available. You can add in some Hidden Valley scenery or add a lake loop a the end depending on what the group wants to do.
