Thursday Evening Pub Run

Kent and I will lead the Thursday night festivities ride. We will meet in the Cronies Parking Lot in Newbury Park ready to ride at 5:30. The plan is to go to GreenMeadow, Lynn Rd. Dos Vientos Route and back. (no crossing freeway). This will be approx. 19 miles with the shortened days, that is all we can safely get. Please let us know if you will be joining us so we can reserve the space. I will bring Membership Cards to be given out after the ride if you didn't catch me on Sunday. We should return by 7ish. CVC Thursday 5:00 pm Red Ride

The Thursday evening red ride will continue on Thursday September 18th, 2014. The ride leaves from the Landing parking lot at *5:00 pm PDT*sharp. The route this week will be up Westlake/Decker, down Encinal to PCH, and back up Mulholland. The route will change week to week and includes: 1) Reverse Rock Store Loop 2) Up and over to PCH via Encinal and back. 3) Up and over to PCH via Encinal and Mulholland 4) Whatever else riders want to do. Inclement weather policy: In the interest of safety, whenever it is either actively raining or the ride route has wet roads, it is our club policy to cancel the official club ride. CVC-Saddle Saturdays

“This seat is killing me!”. We’ve all said this at one time or another. Most of us have saddles we have purchased that worked for a while, and don’t now. Or, we’ve upgraded and now have extras just lying around collecting dust, and sure, one day we'll get around to Ebay-ing them. And, yes, we can try a few from the local shop, but why not keep things “in the family”. So, we have started a bike seat co-op. Bring those bad boys to the ride start with your name and contact info on the underside of the saddle, I’ll hang onto them, keep track of who has what. Someone else can borrow and try it out. When someone decides it’s a keeper, the two parties can work out the deal. For those who may be concerned, all saddles will be sanitized for your protection! Tuesday 5:30 pm Rock Store Ride

The race pace Rock Store ride will continue on Tuesday September 16th at 5:30 pm PDT sharp. The ride leaves from the Landings parking lot. Sunset is about 7 pm and so you will need lights to complete the full route with Upper Encinal. Landing - Agoura Road to Cornell - Hammer Cornell - Malibou Lake - Rock Store - Upper Encinal - Stingers - Decker/Westlake Descent - around Westlake Lake - Sprint on Lindero to Baronsgate Road - Agoura Road - Lakeview back to Landings Re-group at the Encinal Y for a few minutes. RWGPS route with Mulholland return ( without Upper E) 26 + miles with 1,900' of climbing. Membership Cards

Hello Members! Due to the high cost of postage and time involved in mailing to literally hundreds of members, I can't mail membership cards. I will be happy to meet people at designated times and places, most likely ride starts or something of the sort, like Coffee Bean or Starbucks. Membership Cards

Hello CVC Members! Great News! Henry has ordered the membership cards and I have them to hand out to you! I will not be at this Saturday's ride, but I will come Sunday morning before the ride by 8:40 to distribute them to those on the list. Allow yourself some time to get ready if you are riding because it may take time to get your name from the list, etc. depending on how many people are there! I will be on the Saturday ride the following week, and will also make other arrangements if you will not be there either of those days. Thanks for your patience! Have a great riding weekend!
