Let's try this again now that the streets will be dry! CVC GOLD RIDE -- Saturday, February 15, 8:30 AM Meeting at Citibank Parking Lot - Westlake Village -- Westlake Blvd. & Agoura Road (North East Corner) for announcements; promptly at 8:30 am, then split into our groups to depart. Route: We're doing a half lake loop and pick up the route from Triunfo joining it at Agoura Rd, then going to Tapo Canyon (Lost Canyons) out Erbes with a Long Canyon and Erbes return. Ride Specs: 42.5 Miles, 3900 feet Water & restrooms: Country club on Lost Canyons For a detailed map and route slip, go to: http://ridewithgps.com/routes/2181943 Ride leader this week: Cam (805) 217-6659 If you depart from the group ride for whatever reason, please pass along the information to the ride leader. The Gold Ride is an Intermediate recreational ride, 30+ miles in length and averaging 12-14 mph. It is mandatory to have & wear a helmet. It is the rider's responsibility to ensure that the helmet is in good condition (check expiration on helmet inner tag) and that your bike is in working condition as well. This is a "drop ride" so please understand the route before you start (and how to get back). If you get to a regrouping spot and no one is there, consider yourself dropped. As always we will try to stick together & have a fun safe ride. We will regroup regularly and to allow everyone a chance to ride together. Inclement weather policy: In the interest of safety, whenever it is either actively raining or the ride route has wet roads, it is our club policy to cancel a club ride. Club members may still choose to meet and ride in these conditions; however, the ride will not be considered an official club ride. Please remember to park in the area along Westlake Blvd. (between the street and the first driveway aisle) and not in the area in front of the Shops/Market. If we don't respect the requests of the lease tenants, we could be asked to park elsewhere. Should be absolutely beautiful weather Wednesday and would love to ride then. Perhaps a Malibu Lake run is in order! Avg. pace is about 15. CVC pm MTB rides week of 2-10-14

Hi CVCrs, A little rain this last weekend was nice for the trails and hopefully we'll get more soon. The ride schedule for this week is as follows: Tuesday we're riding Switchbacks/Space Mtn. Meet at the end of Moorpark Rd. at 6:00 pm Thursday we're riding in Chesebro. Meet in the front parking lot at 6:00 pm m Most of our rides are approximately 8-15 miles and last around 1.5-2 hours. Our rides are done jointly with the Conejo Mountain Bike club (CMB). It is an intermediate paced ride and not a no-drop ride. but,lets stay together within our groups, and have a fun safe time. Always make sure you have your helmet (mandatory),water, spares, and a light. See you soon on the road or trail! Kent.
