CVC Gold Ride, Tuesday Evening, 5:30pm, Citibank Start

I am bruised up on my right side from a crash Sunday. Very sore still. I am sure I will be going up Rock Store a bit slower.... Citibank start location to Malibou Lake - Rock Store - Mulholland Hwy - Decker Canyon - around Westlake Lake. 25 + miles with 2,100' of climbing. Same route as the Tuesday Red Ride (without upper Encinal Canyon) Re-group at: Cornell / Mulholland and top of Rock Store. Here's the route using "Ride with GPS". CVC Wednesday Afternoon Landing Ride

3:45 Landing Parking Lot The Wed. Afternoon ride is an intermediate recreational ride 20 to 25 miles in length with an average pace of 14+mph. It is not a "no drop ride" but let's try to stick together and have a fun,safe time. Looks like a beautiful day to go pedal! Inclement weather policy: In the interest of safety, whenever it is either actively raining or the ride route has wet roads, it is our club policy to cancel a club ride. Club members may still choose to meet and ride in these conditions; however, the ride will not be considered an official club ride. See you there... Any questions, please let me know. Hi All, The weather for the next few days is a little hard to call....lets hope for clear skies! As for rides: Tonight is the Start of Jan's Thursday Picnic ride along with Lee's Gold ride. See their posts for more information. Saturday is as follows: Gold: Lee will be riding the Hidden Valley, Dos Vientos, La Granada ride Orange: I will be riding the Santa Rosa Valley loop Red: Jim is riding Piuma Rd.- across Saddle Peak-down Fernwood-Up Topanga Canyon As usual all rides depart the CitiBank parking lot at 8:30 am. Please remember to only park in the spaces on the west side of the lot nearest Westlake Bl. Also We will have our full compliment of Sunday rides (Social with Adam Winer and Purple with John Cafrey) along with the usual weekday offerings (Jim and Lee's Tuesday Red & Gold evening rides and Sheri's Wed afternoon Landing ride). Tuesday Evening Gold ride update

Hey everyone, An update for the Thursday Evening Gold ride. In my announcement last evening I did not include the Inclement weather policy statement which is: "Inclement weather policy: In the interest of safety, whenever it is either actively raining or the ride route has wet roads, it is our club policy to cancel a club ride. Club members may still choose to meet and ride in these conditions; however, the ride will not be considered an official club ride." Checking the weather.com website it seems a chance of rain will be 8:00pm. I am planning to ride. Lee

Thursday Evening Gold Ride, Westlake - Decker - Yeaba Buena, 5:15 start

With Jan's picnic ride starting it is also time to begin the Thursday Evening Gold Ride starting at 5:15pm . Even leaving 15 min early we never get back before Jan's ride does. This is the same start time as last year. Start Location: Jan's Picnic Ride. **CVC Saturday Gold Ride, April 9th, 8:30am *** **Meeting at Citibank Parking Lot - Westlake Village -- Westlake Blvd. & Agoura Road (North East Corner) Route: Hidden Valley, Dos Vientos, Lynn Rd, Multi use bypass, La Granada, Pentagon part and back. 33 miles with 2,500' of climbing. *** Hey Gold Riders, OK... Looks like cool weather with some clouds this Saturday. Lets do the Hidden Valley, Dos Vientos, La Granada ride. There are a few opportunities to shorten the ride if needed. This will be in the same general direction as the Orange ride and we will start 2 to 3 min behind them. The reason for this is to eliminate the possibility of getting riders mixed up and not going on the ride they were planning. It has happened. This is something the ride committee has requested when rides start out in the same direction. Hope you will be patient with the small delay to get going. CVC Sunday Social / Recovery Ride -- Sunday April 10th - 9:00am

Club members may still choose to meet and ride in these conditions; however, the ride will not be considered an official club ride. CVC Sunday Social / Recovery Ride -- Sunday April 10th - 9:00am Meeting at Citibank Parking Lot - Westlake Village -- Westlake Blvd. & Agoura Road (North East Corner) Come out and join us for a social paced recovery ride (14 Mph Avg. Speed). 25-30 miles max. and then stay a while to socialize afterwards by having an after-ride beverage and snack. This week we will warm up by going around the lake and then towards Conejo School Road/La Granada pass through to Erbes. North down the hill on Erbes to Arboles where we will go up and around our Lang Ranch loop. >From there a slight climb up Westlake to Valley Spring where we will wind our way up and around County Club Drive back out to Kanan. Kanan to Fountainwood which we will use to connect back into Thousand Oaks Blvd. An optional Forest Cove - Reyes Adobe to Lake Lindero scenic ride and then back to socialize. *** OR, we can try this route in reverse.. Let me know what you want to do at the start. Majority wins! After ride socializing - Natural Cafe' Restaurant - Patio and/or front grassy courtyard area. Greta Adams has offered to lead the ride so please join in if you are in town, thanks Greta! This week we will ride our Petting Zoo ride. CVC Orange Ride Saturday 4-9-11 8:30am Citibank Westalke

Hi All, This week, the orange riders are heading for Santa Rosa Valley. We will take a run a run around the lake and out Protrero to the College. After regrouping we will cut through the college and take Lewis Rd.to Pleasant Valley Rd which turns into Santa Rosa Rd as it crosses the 101. We then climb up to Moorepark rd and then take Read Rd to the Bypass, over Olsen, Pedersen, Erbes, La Granada to Conejo School Rd. We will then ride the usual Willow Lane/Hampshire return to Citibank. The Route is around 44 miles with 2600' of ascent. If you want to see the complete route in detail and print out a route slip, go to: http://ridewithgps.com/routes/290166 As usual, we will meet at the Citibank parking lot at 8:30and have our pre-ride announcements prior to splitting into our groups and departing. The Orange ride is an intermediate/advanced recreational ride 40 to 50 miles in length with an average pace of 15+mph. It is not a "no drop ride" but as always let's try to stick together and have a fun,safe ride.
