Hi Everyone, Scott Lorkis has volunteered to lead the gold this weekend. Thank you Scott for your contribution and support. On Saturday February 11th. starting at 8:30 AM we are riding through Juan Beautista to Mulholland East, through Seven Minute Hill and through Calabasas. The re-group locations are Juan Beautista, top of seven minute hill climb. Please use the restroom before departing or at Juan Beautista Park. Next possible restrooms and water at McDonald's on Agoura Road at Las Virgenes. for restroom and water. Next re-group at McDonald's on Agoura Road. As usual, we will meet at the Citibank parking lot and have our pre-ride announcements promptly at 8:30AM then splitting into our groups and departing.
The Gold Ride is an intermediate recreational ride 30 to 40 miles in length with an average pace of 14+mph.It is mandatory to have and ware a helmet and it is the rider's responsibility to ensure that the helmet is valid (check expiration on helmet inner tag, usually good for five years) and in good working condition. It is not a "no drop ride" but as always let's try to stick together and have a fun,safe ride. Things to have: Water to complete the ride or at least to reach the next water stop. Tools to perform minor repairs. Chain repair linkage. Inner-tube and inflated device. Cellular phone. Food to replenish energy.
Inclement weather policy: In the interest of safety, whenever it is either actively raining or the ride route has wet roads, it is our club policy to cancel a club ride. Club members may still choose to meet and ridein these conditions; however, the ride will not be considered an official club ride.
After the ride, please join us at one of the many refueling options available at the finish such as Natural Cafe, Sea Casa, East CoastBagel, Sprouts Market, etc.. Please remember to park in the area along Westlake Bl.(between the street and the first driveway aisle) and not in the area in front of the Shops/Market. If we don't respect the requests of the lease tenants, we could be asked to park elsewhere.
