Hi CVC'rs Lets get out and ride the dirt....if mother nature allows us to...In case of rain, the ride will cancel. I will send out an update on Thursday after lunch. I want to keep the pace at (for lack of a better description, and I know my audience) a gold level. I'm shooting for mostly fire roads, and fun, but not overly technical single track. This is not a beginners ride, but will be doable for most anyone with MTB experience. I will keep the riding to about 1.5 hours so we will have no problem finishing before dark. *Again, this is a fun ride, we will not be hammering*. This week lets ride around the Dos Vientos area. We will meet at the Rancho Portrero Trailhead parking lot on Portrero Rd in Newbury Park (just West of the Rocking K horse rentals/stables). This ride is around 10 miles and is pretty, rolling terrain mixed with a bit of the neighborhood streets (to connect things up), and a few fun climbs (not like last week...that was harder than I wanted it to be) *Be ready to ride at 5:30PM* My goal is to have fun and introduce some of you the many fun areas we have to ride around here...and learn of a few from y"all too. As with all CVC rides, helmets are mandatory. Make sure your bike is prepped, and be sure to have plenty of water.
