This time we have something to celebrate, The 100th Birthday of Gino Bartali… (July 18 th 1914) A true Championismo… We will be riding from a different location this time due to construction. We leave from The Landing on Lindero Cyn. plenty of free parking available.2. The ride will go around the Westlake, then an out and back route to Hidden Valley, passing Lake Sherwood. One short climb ( the total ride is approx 20 miles) The ride will end at the Stonehaus where Chianti and other refreshments are to be had.. Gino Bartali, Cavaliere di Gran Croce OMRI was a champion road cyclist. He was the most renowned Italian cyclist before the Second World War, having won the Giro d'Italia three times and the Tour de France twice, in 1938 and 1948.
