Hi Everyone,On Saturday November 19. starting at 8:30 AM we are riding Rock Store and Upper Encinal returning on Westlake. For a detailed map and route slip, go to: http://ridewithgps.com/routes/773823 First stop at Peter Strauss Ranch for restroom and water, regroup at the top of Rock Store, if anyone needs restroom there is a restroom on the right after crossing Kanan on Mulholland, water is located at Calamegos Ranch on the left. Next regroup at the intersection of Lechusa and Encinal, water is located on the top of the first climb on Decker. The ride continues on Decker/Westlake to the starting location As usual, we will meet at the Citibank parking lot and have our pre-ride announcements promptly at 8:30AM then splitting into our groups and departing.
The Gold Ride is an intermediate recreational ride 30 to 40 miles in length with an average pace of 14+mph. It is not a "no drop ride" but as always let's try to stick together and have a fun,safe ride.
Inclement weather policy: In the interest of safety, whenever it is either actively raining or the ride route has wet roads, it is our club policy to cancel a club ride. Club members may still choose to meet and ride in these conditions; however, the ride will not be considered an official club ride.
After the ride, please join us at one of the many refueling options available at the finish such as Natural Cafe, Sea Casa, East Coast Bagel, Sprouts Market, etc.. Please remember to park in the area along Westlake Bl.(between the street and the first driveway aisle) and not in the area in front of the Shops/Market.
