Hi All: As I stated in yesterday's email - Kent & I were going to make a "go" or "no go" Away Ride call today. After checking with the NOAA weather gods, it appears that the incoming storm will be here in earnest on Saturday both in Santa Clarita and locally so let's forgo the Away Ride and instead your ride Captains will be announcing local rides.
CVC Red Ride Saturday, 3-17-12 8:30 am Citibank/Sprouts parking lot ( NE Corner of Westlake Blvd. & Hampshire/Agoura Rd.)
If it's not actively raining at 8:30 or the roads aren't wet ( see inclement weather policy below) Let's plan as local of a red ride as we can so that we aren't too far from home should it start raining mid-ride. Rock Store-Upper Encinal-Little Sycamore to top of Yerba Buena & back
Inclement weather policy: In the interest of safety, whenever it is either actively raining or the ride route has wet roads, it is our club policy to cancel a club ride. Club members may still choose to meet and ride in these conditions; however, the ride will not be considered an official club ride.
