Hi All: I have a Gold/Orange suggestion RE: this Sat.'s Away ride (see below) You can shorten the ride's total mileage and overall climbing feet by returning to PCH & Zuma after the Latigo Canyon climb via' a descent on : Encinal Canyons ( upper & lower) turn left at the Encinal "Y" on Mulholland/Encinal or... Decker Canyon or...Mulholland Hwy or... Yerba Buena - without the Cotharin/Deer Creek part I think we will have some club members opting for one of these return routes. Remember: this is a 9:00am ride start time Jim Doane - CVC From: jdoane1175@msn.com To: announce@mail.cvcbike.org Subject: CVC August Away Ride, 8-10-13 Date: Tue, 6 Aug 2013 22:04:52 -0700 Hi All As was previously announced at the beginning of 2013 this Sat. 8-10th is our "local" Away Ride : 9:00am Start : Zuma Beach (park on Westward Beach Rd. near the restrooms) where we usually re-group on our club rides Orange/Red Ride: Zuma Beach-Point Dune-PCH-Latigo Canyon-Calimigos Ranch-Mulholland Little Sycamore-Yerba Buena ( I know it's rough) Cotharin-Pacific View- Deer Creek ( stop for the view & re-group- like last time) Pacific Coast Hwy South- Broad Beach- PCH ( stop at Trancas Starbucks for coffee/snacks?)
