Westlake Blvd. & Agoura Road (North East Corner) This Saturday, the Purple ridewill be riding around the lake to Potrero through Hidden Vallet and back  Hi Purple Riders, This week we will be riding around the lake to Potrero through Hidden Vallet and back and stopping as needed.  Water and restroom at Fire Station 33.. This ride will be making frequent regroups and is a no drop ride; however, please inform the ride leader if you are not planning on riding the entire route. Be sure to print out a route slip if you are unfamiliar with the area. The ride is 16.8 miles with 988 ft. of climbing. No one gets dropped and no one is left behind. Please make sure to wear the appropriate riding attire. Please check your bike prior to Saturday and make any necessary repairs. Although the Purple ride is a "no drop" ride, for the enjoyment and safety of the participants, we will try to keep a 12-14 MPH average. If you feel you are not Purple ready, but want to work up to the Purple level, please contact the Ride Captain who will gladly give you some pointers and advise. We strongly recommend that you come out and meet the riders! The best stepping stone to grow into a Purple rider is to ride around Westlake! When you can sweep those 5 flat miles at a steady 12 to 14 mph pace, and still feel ready for more, then you will be able to handle many of the standard Purple routes. Things you need for every ride: * Helmet-Mandatory * Water or Sports Drink * I.D. * Cell phone * Spare tube * CO2 cartridge or hand pump * Patch kit * Route slip Inclement weather policy: In the interest of safety, whenever it is either actively raining or the ride route has wet roads, it is our club policy to cancel a club ride.
