La Granada in reverse with a twist

From Citi Bank the usual way over to Lake View and left up to a left on T.O. Blvd. Right onto Westlake Blvd. up to a left on Arboles and REGROUP just after the intersection. Two things; Stay to the curb while we wait to regroup and use caution at all the stop signs. Right on Erbes to a left on Pederson to a right on Olsen. Stop whining there will be a Rolling REGROUP at the top of Olsen at the Sunset Hills light. Stay with Olsen to a right on Erbes. REGROUP at the top of Erbes at the stop sign and complain to the ride leader that there are too many hills. Down and across Arboles to a right on La Granada. La Granada becomes Paige Lane and we'll turn left onto Hodencamp. A short jog to a left onto Hillcrest. REGROUP once through the intersection. All the way through Erbes to right onto Old Conejo School Rd. Across T.O. Blvd, under the 101 overpass past the Spectrum where you've never used your membership and right onto Manzanita Ln then left on Foothill and mosey on around in back of the old K-Mart to right on Hampshire (regular Hamshire not New Hampshire 'cause that would add 3000mi to the ride). Now back to the start, drink coffee and brag.

Purple Ride Info: This is the easiest of the CVC group rides based on lower mileage, a slower average pace and less hill climbing, unless of course the read leader is in a bad mood and wants to torture all the beginners, ok just kidding. Although it is called a beginner recreation ride, there is a minimal amount of fitness required to maintain the 12-13 mph average pace. If you can average 15mph for two laps 'round The Lake (Westlake) you are there. Routes vary in length from 12 to 25 miles with a maximum of 1500 feet of climbing. We do our best to ensure no one gets dropped on this ride by having frequent regroups. Ride leaders can almost always use an extra hand to volunteer ride leader. If you are a fit rider using the Purple ride as an active rest ride be aware this will be active rest with the emphasis on s-l-o-w, be patient and keep the pace down.

Note: Inclement weather policy: In the interest of safety, whenever it is either actively raining or the ride route has wet roads, it is our club policy to cancel a club ride. Club members may still choose to meet and ride in these conditions; however, the ride will not be considered an official club ride.
