CVC Saturday GOLD Level Ride -- Saturday August 11th, 8:30 AM

Meeting at Citibank Parking Lot - Westlake Village -- Westlake Blvd. & Agoura Road (North East Corner) for announcements; promptly at 8:30 am, then split into our groups to depart.


It will be HOT and HUMID this weekend. Please be sure to hydrate leading up to the ride and drink plenty of water during the ride.


Also, I may not be riding this weekend, so you will have organize yourselves. Please contact me if you are interested in helping out.


Route: Rockstore via Cornell; Upper encinal; Lake Loop. 29.2 miles; 3,243 feet.

Water & Toilets: Mile 9.4 (Peter Strauss Ranch)
Water & Toilets: Mile 18.5 (just after 1st Stinger on Left)
Water Only: Mile 23.7 (Westlake Elem.) - optional
 Regroups will be...Peter Stauss Ranch, Top of Rockstore; Lechusa Rd. at Decker;

The Gold Ride is an Intermediate recreational ride, 30-40+ miles in length and averaging 14+ mph. It is mandatory to have & wear a helmet. It is the rider's responsibility to ensure that the helmet is in good condition (check expiration on helmet inner tag) and that your bike is in working condition as well. This is a "drop ride" so please understand the route before you start (and how to get back). As always we will try to stick together & have a fun safe ride. We will regroup regularly and to allow everyone a chance to ride together.

 

Things to have:

Helmet !!! - Water to complete the ride or at least to reach the next water stop - Tools to perform minor repairs -Chain repair linkage - Inner-tube and pump (or the like) - Cellular phone - Food to replenish energy.


Inclement weather policy: In the interest of safety, whenever it is either actively raining or the ride route has wet roads, it is our club policy to cancel a club ride. Club members may still choose to meet and ride in these conditions; however, the ride will not be considered an official club ride.

After the ride, please join us at one of the many refueling options available at the finish such as Natural Cafe, Sea Casa, East Coast Bagel, Sprouts Market, etc..


Please remember to park in the area along Westlake Blvd. (between the street and the first driveway aisle) and not in the area in front of the Shops/Market. If we don't respect the requests of the lease tenants, we could be asked to park elsewhere. Remember, if you ride...
