WEEKLY ANNOUNCEMENT
Hey CVC,
The weather is forecast as moderate again in the 80s, so we are gonna get creative with some of our routes.
On Saturday, we have three routes, including the red ride heading up over Rock Store, dropping to the beach at Encinal and coming back up through Sycamore Canyon (dirt road but very road bike-friendly). The Orange ride is heading for Calabasas and going down Topanga and back up Old Topanga before running over Mulholland home. And the Orange is going to do Agoura Road and Cornell over Mulholland before heading for 7-minute Hill and Calabasas.
Sunday the Red group is heading out toward CSU through Newbury, then back up through Somis, over Broadway and Grimes. The GO ride is doing Grimes Canyon direct by going over Westlake and Norweigen grade with a return up Olsen. The Social ride this weekend is headed for Wildwood and a loop back over Westlake.
Midweek rides are available Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday, including the Rock Store race ride Tuesday night, cruise rides Tuesday and Thursday mornings, the Wednesday Pub Ride, and mountain biking on Thursday afternoon.
We are planning a Newcomers Ride and a number of club riding classes. Keep your eye out for more info and contact me if you have any input.
Please be extra careful and wary of road debris. Agoura Road is closed just north of Kanan for another few weeks and the winds have brought lots of debris in the bike lanes. Look out for each other so we can avoid possible accidents. Call it out and keep your friends behind you safe!
Let me know if I can help with anything bike or ride-related. I always have extra Clif bars, equipment and my toolbox, pump, etc.
And let's ride!

ADDITIONAL NOTES
The Purple ride is considered a no drop. Having said that, please note that if you are falling behind or slower than the average pace, you may be dropped. All rides not asterisked are considered a "drop ride" so please understand the route before you start (and how to get back). If you get to a regrouping spot and no one is there, consider yourself dropped.  As always, we will try to stick together and have a fun, safe ride. We will regroup regularly to allow everyone a chance to ride together.

If for any reason you leave a group ride, please pass along the information to the ride leader.

Inclement weather policy: In the interest of safety, whenever it is either actively raining or the ride route has wet roads, it is our club policy to cancel a club ride. Club members may still choose to meet and ride in these conditions; however, the ride will not be considered an official club ride.
