Safety Tip of the Week:   Always be sure that cyclists and motorists are aware of your intentions by signaling your moves: turning, moving into a lane, slowing, and stopping.

Note:  If you start with a group, the posted routes are to be followed.  If you depart from the group ride or wish to deviate from the posted route for whatever reason,  you must pass along the information to the ride leader so that there is no confusion for the other cyclists.

The Gold Ride is an intermediate level of riding; 30+ Miles; 12-14 avg. MPH; Moderate to above average hill climbing; Regular regroups or stops.

It is mandatory to have & wear a helmet. It is the rider's responsibility to ensure that the helmet is in good condition (check expiration on helmet inner tag) and that your bike is in working condition as well. This is a "drop ride" so please understand the route before you start (and how to get back). If you get to a regrouping spot and no one is there, consider yourself dropped.  As always we will try to stick together & have a fun safe ride. We will regroup regularly to allow everyone a chance to ride together.

Inclement weather policy: In the interest of safety, whenever it is either actively raining or the ride route has wet roads, it is our club policy to cancel a club ride. Club members may still choose to meet and ride in these conditions; however, the ride will not be considered an official club ride.
Please remember to park in the area along Westlake Blvd. (between the street and the first driveway aisle) and not in the area in front of the Shops/Market. If we don't respect the requests of the lease tenants, we could be asked to park elsewhere.
