Ladies and Gentleman,

1.     Once again it is time for the CVC vintage cycling ride.  This time we have something to celebrate, The 100th Birthday of Gino Bartali… (July 18th 1914)  A true Championismo… We will be riding from a differant location this time due to construction. We leave from the “landing” on Lindero Cyn. plenty of free parking available.

2.   The Landing Westlake Village

The ride will go around the Westlake, then an out and back route to Hidden Valley, passing Lake Sherwood.  One short climb ( the total ride is  aprox 20 miles) The ride will end at the Stonehaus where Chanti and other refreshments are to be had.. It would be appropriate to ride and display Italian cycles and Jerseys…in memoriam.     Go Gino….

2.     Gino Bartali, Cavaliere di Gran Croce OMRI was a champion road cyclist. He was the most renowned Italian cyclist before the Second World War, having won the Giro d'Italia three times and the Tour de France twice, in 1938 and 1948.
