Based on a couple of forecasts I consulted this morning, it looks like we will be able to get in our ride this afternoon before the wind picks up. That said, if the forecasts are wrong, we may have to modify. (By tomorrow the wind is predicted to be gusting in the 30+ mph range.)

I've heard from ride leader Sheri that the road that goes by the lake and through the neighborhood and by the fire station is being paved today. My bike wants to avoid this area, so today we will ride out via Agoura to Cornell to do the Lake Malibou loop with Cornell > Agoura return, instead of riding the Hidden Valley route.
Rgds,

Sherrie

Subject: [cvc announce] Hidden Valley Thursday 10/3 @ 5:15 PM
CC: announce@mail.cvcbike.org
To: hatoolah@msn.com

Days are getting shorter...so:
ROUTE: Out-and-Back through Hidden Valley
START TIME: 5:15 p.m.
DISTANCE: 20 miles
PACE: This is an intermediate level ride that includes both Gold and Orange paces averaging 14+/15+ mph.
NO DROPS:A no drop ride means that the leader will wait ahead at strategic points/turns along the route, or sweep behind the group as needed, so nobody gets left behind. Faster riders who are familiar with the course and who prefer to ride ahead are encouraged to do so; they need not wait at regroup points.
DIRECTIONS TO RIDE START: Triunfo Canyon Rd. in Westlake Village, just west of the Dam (tennis) Club and little yacht club building. From the 101 Freeway, take Lindero Canyon south until it ends at Triunfo. Go right on Triunfo a couple hundred yards. You will see a grassy area. Park along the curb.
 Any questions, call / write Sherrie @ 908-432-3480 /
hatoolah@msn.com.

This will be our final CVC Gold/Orange Thursday PM ride until next spring.

Regards,
Sherrie Felton
