The Rides:
 Santa Barbara-Montecito-Goleta-Isla Vista, UCSB-Santa Barbara
 9:00am  Meet at Stearn's Wharf - Dolphin Fountain
     - Cabrillo Blvd. at Ocean end of State Street, Santa Barbara

Park on Cabrillo Blvd. ( East side of Wharf ) 
  or in Beach parking lots - ( flat fee for day parking)

RIDE Choices:  I 'll have printed route slips for both rides :
 
1) Gold Ride: 46 miles - approx 4 hrs. considering riding & re-grouping time 
       East to Montecito & most climbing near beginning of ride on San Ysidro Rd. to East Mountain Rd.
       then across East Mountain Rd. to Sheffield Reservoir, W. Mountain Rd.
       and onto the Mission Rose Garden -re-group spot
        Then back to up to Foothill Rd. # 192 across to Cathedral Oaks Rd.- to Glenn Annie
        and South to Isla Vista-UCSB-Bike path through marshland to Hope Ranch over to Cliff Dr.
        and back down to the SB Wharf
 
2) Orange/Red Ride : approx. 56 miles - same route as above except :
         -  when crossing the # 101 freeway in Montecito - turn right ( East)
           and ride to the SB Polo Grounds - turn Left on Nidever Rd. ( North)
           to # 192 Foothill Rd. and climb Toro Canyon and then Ladera Rd.
           and across to East Mt. Rd. ( Ride through San Ysidro Ranch)  
           Continue riding West on East Mountain Rd. for rest of ride described in the Gold Ride
         The Red Ride adds approx 10 miles and 1,500' ft. climbing

3) Purple Ride:  JC Simmons has volunteered to lead a Purple group 
        25 miles - fairly flat route out to UCSB and back
