Route: Westlake to PCH returning on Encinal. Weather forecast is for 82 Deg., at the start the temperature should be in the high 60 Deg.

 

Hi Everyone,

On Saturday July 21^th. starting at 8:30 AM we are leaving to Santa Rosa Road through Potrero and returning through Read Bypass.  The first re-group will be at Chanel Island University followed by a stop at McDonalds at Pleasant Valley and 101 FWY.

 

Route: Potrero to Lewis in Camarillo, returning on Santa Rosa Road to Read Bypass. Reference detailed map and route slip below for details and if you are unfamiliar with the route, bring a route slip with you.

Re-grouping Locations:

Chanel Island University.

McDonalds at Pleasant Valley and 101 FWY. Last stop for restroom and water.

Last regroup at Read Bypass and Moorpark.

 

As usual, we will meet at the Citibank parking lot and have our pre-ride announcements promptly at 8:30AM then splitting into our groups and departing.

The Orange Ride is an Intermediate/advanced recreational ride, 40-60 miles in length. It is mandatory to have and ware a helmet and it is the rider's responsibility to ensure that the helmet is valid (check expiration on helmet inner tag, usually good for five years) and in good working condition. It is not a "no drop ride" but as always let's try to stick together and have a fun, safe ride.

 

Things to have:

Water to complete the ride or at least to reach the next water stop.

Tools to perform minor repairs.

Chain repair linkage.

Inner-tube and inflated device.

Cellular phone.

Food to replenish energy.

Inclement weather policy: In the interest of safety, whenever it is either actively raining or the ride route has wet roads, it is our club policy to cancel a club ride. Club members may still choose to meet and ride in these conditions; however, the ride will not be considered an official club ride.

After the ride, please join us at one of the many refueling options available at the finish such as Natural Cafe, Sea Casa, East Coast Bagel, Sprouts Market, etc..

Please remember to park in the area along Westlake Bl.(between the street and the first driveway aisle) and not in the area in front of the Shops/Market. If we don't respect the requests of the lease tenants, we could be asked to park elsewhere.
