Ride leader this week:  Cam

If you depart from the group ride for whatever reason, please pass along the information to the ride leader.

Ride note:  "Those damn cyclists, they're all over the road!".  It is imperative that we ride no more than two by two, close to the curb and as close to handlebar to handlebar as comfort allows.  Single file when the road dictates.  This is a safety issue.  We don't want anyone clipped by a passing car.  At no time should there be a third cyclist unless he or she is passing quickly and having made sure there is no oncoming traffic.  We don't need to add to motorists' gripes that we just ride wherever we want to.  

The Gold Ride is an Intermediate recreational ride, 30+ miles in length and averaging 12-14 mph. It is mandatory to have & wear a helmet. It is the rider's responsibility to ensure that the helmet is in good condition (check expiration on helmet inner tag) and that your bike is in working condition as well. This is a "drop ride" so please understand the route before you start (and how to get back). As always we will try to stick together & have a fun safe ride. We will regroup regularly and to allow everyone a chance to ride together.

Inclement weather policy: In the interest of safety, whenever it is either actively raining or the ride route has wet roads, it is our club policy to cancel a club ride. Club members may still choose to meet and ride in these conditions; however, the ride will not be considered an official club ride.

Please remember to park in the area along Westlake Blvd. (between the street and the first driveway aisle) and not in the area in front of the Shops/Market. If we don't respect the requests of the lease tenants, we could be asked to park elsewhere.
