RED AND ORANGE SATURDAY AWAY RIDE ( MOUT BALDY ) 8:30 AM START****

This week for the Saturday away ride, the Orange and Red crews are riding an out-and-back on the Glendora Mountain Road (GMR) up to Mt Baldy. This is a challenging but beautiful ride starting at Glendora High School and runs all the way to the Village at Mt Baldy. Those who want to complete the entire challenge will ride past the village and all the way up to the ski lifts, which is another 5 miles with the last approximate 1.5 up some steep switchbacks. Whoever does not want to continue up to the ski lifts can take in the views and wait at the Village for their crew members to make the descent. We will ride from Glendora High School at 8:30AM. Park in the small parking lot against the school building on N. Valley Center Ave. Make sure to bring two big water bottles and plenty of snacks. Water is available at Baldy Village. It can get a little chilly at the top so having a vest or light jacket is a good idea. This ride should  be considered only if you are a solid orange or above level rider.

Starting in Ventura and Riding the Lake Casitas and Coastal areas.

101 North exit California St and turn right, at Santa Clara St turn left.

Parking lot is on the right before Ventura Ave.

PLEASE ARRIVE EARLY FOR A CHOICE PARKING SPOT.

When riding with us please

·      Use helmets and bike lanes! Call out hazards and ride predictably.

·      Avoid bunching up and overlapping wheels.

·      Keep a prudent distance and ride single file on narrow roads.

·      Ensure your bike is in good working order.

·      Descend carefully!

·      Pass slower riders on the left and signal when changing lines. 

·      Respect traffic laws and the rights of motor vehicles, cyclists, and pedestrians.

·      If the weather is inclement we will cancel all rides.
