Descend Upper Encinal Canyon- Back up to Decker Canyon to Mulholland Hwy descent to PCH,
PCH to up Decker Canyon to Westlake Blvd. descent, around the lake back to start
47.1 Miles
5892 approx.feet of climbing (RWGPS says 5892' but is usually high)
Ride extension option(s) : back down Decker to PCH and climb back Encinal Canyon?
- adds approx. 12 miles and 1,650' climbing
Or .....another Canyon route return of your choosing
Re-group spots:
1)Top of Encinal "Y" ( before descending Upper Encinal)
- after ascending Upper Encinal, water is available at Firestation on Decker south
near intersection of Lechusa &Decker
2) Intersection of Mulholland & Little Sycamore ( before descending Mulholland)
3) Bottom of Mulholland Hwy/PCH at Leo Carrillo ( water & restroom)
4) Top of Decker Canyon at Lechusa intersection
water available at Fire station again or at first stinger driveway
Inclement weather policy: In the interest of safety, whenever it is either actively raining or the ride route has wet roads, it is our club policy to cancel the official club ride. Club members may still choose to meet and ride in these conditions; however, the ride will not be considered an official club ride.
