Hi Everyone,

Kent will be out of town this Saturday so, on his behalf, I am posting the route for Saturday, July 9th, 8:30 AM orange ride. We will once more heading down Portero into cooler Camarillo weather, then through Balcom Canyon into Moorpark and retuning through the Reed Road path.  Approximate distance is 65.7 miles at a elevation of 4200 feet; the perfect preparation ride for those planning an upcoming metric or century.

Take a look at Ride with GPS for more info and/or a route sheet. http://ridewithgps.com/routes/511941
Suggested re-group spots Sherwood Fire Station (water and R/R), Chanel Island University (Regroup), McDonald's at Las Posas and Arneill Rd. (Water and R/R), Poindexter Park (Water R/R) re-group, top of Read Rd. path (final re-group R/R).

As usual, we will meet at the Citibank parking lot at 8:30and have our pre-ride announcements prior to splitting into our groups and departing.

The Orange ride is an intermediate/advanced recreational ride 40 to 50 miles in length with an average pace of 15+mph. It is not a "no drop ride" but as always let's try to stick together and have a fun, safe ride.

Inclement weather policy: In the interest of safety, whenever it is either actively raining or the ride route has wet roads, it is our club policy to cancel a club ride. Club members may still choose to meet and ride in these conditions; however, the ride will not be considered an official club ride.

After the ride, please join us at one of the many refueling options available at the finish such as Natural Cafe, Sea Casa, East Coast Bagel, Sprouts Market, etc..
Please remember to park in the area along Westlake Bl.(between the street and the first driveway aisle) and not in the area in front of the Shops/Market. If we don't respect the requests of the lease tenants, we could be asked to park elsewhere.

Thanks,
Norm Weir
